Nerd Commander Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 do you guys think bricklink works better or Lego Digital Designer works better for you i want options, options
MetroiD Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 i want options, options !? Work better for what precisely? LDD is rather limited as far as bricks are concerned... Besides, I'd never even consider buying something I built in LDD - the prices there are absolutely ridiculous...
FinalFeature Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Bricklink has more pieces and is cheaper than Lego digital desginer. Unless you want to make a virtual moc use LDD.
Thee Pirate Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Well, Bricklink isn't a very good way to design digital MOCs, but LDD isn't a very good marketplace.... so what was the question? Nah but seriously, design using LDD, buy using Bricklink.
fred67 Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Obviously you get more variety of parts on bricklink, but don't write off P.A.B. prices. There are many pieces I've looked for that ended up being, for a reasonable number (i.e. not a single piece, but when you want 20 or more), the same or cheaper on P.A.B., and it's guaranteed new. All I'm saying is to go ahead and check P.A.B. prices... surely you need to weigh in S&H and everything, but I've often ended up just ordering from P.A.B..
CP5670 Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 (edited) LDD and Bricklink are different kinds of things. It makes more sense to compare PAB and Bricklink or LDD and MLCad. Basic, common pieces are cheaper on Bricklink, while specialized parts, especially recently introduced ones, may be cheaper on PAB. On the whole, I think Bricklink has better prices, even if you only consider new parts. However, since you get free shipping on PAB parts when combined with S@H orders, I often add a few things from there to my orders. Edited March 17, 2010 by CP5670
