Agreed, but the way some AFOLs talk you'd think that we were the majority ! These figures are hopefully a useful reality check for some.

On the other hand, there are many fans who talk as if the AFOL population is completely irrelevant. Personally I find it nice to know that LEGO acknowledges that we AFOLs are out there. Honestly when it comes to adult fans, LEGO has really gone the distance. It's good to know that LEGO thinks we AFOLs matter.

Early December, around St. Nicolasday there was a news item on the Belgian tv channel VTM stating that 10% of the adult males* "plays" with Lego.

I don't know on which sources they based this information, probably TLG although I'm not sure.

So I guess 5% is a little on the low side considering the fact AFOLs "usually" buy more expensive sets.

This number might be right for people buying from Lego stores or S@H, but these figures won't include items purchased at none Lego stores, supermarkets etc where they have no way of telling who has bought the products.

AFOLs probably purchase a lot more via Bricklink than anywhere/anyone else

I wonder how they got this precentage ? What would be neat to know is what precent TFOL's have in lego sales.
