Posted March 24, 201014 yr Greetings. I've been trying to build a self-steering multi-axle heavy transport modular trailer. After much experimenting, I've finally built a working steering mechanism. I used this real world example as a model. Here is my Lego version of that picture. My 8294 excavator isn't as big as the Hitachi. Maybe that's excuse to get the new 8043 motorized excavator. I tested it with an abnormal load. That's all the unused Lego plates I have in the world. I made a video of it working. The steering is mechnically controlled by the angle of the drawbar in relation to the trailer. Thanks for watching.
