I built this arch for doublebrick contest. According the rules I could use only simple plates and bricks in this creation .

I hesitated where to post it, here or in the Historic Themes, but finally i decided that here it would be better.

So enjoy.

That's amazing, considering the limitations! Well done  Though I'm sure some of the purists might be uncomfortable with some of your building techniques, I'd think you've achieved an amazing result.

Thanks for reply!

Really interesting design.

Maybe it would be smoother with tiles on top, but it is just my idea...I like this arch!

Maybe, but according the rules of the contest I could use ONLY simple plate and bricks, no tiles, modified bricks and so on.

Great work here! I love the fact that you managed to use simple elements to creating something so beautiful. Great use of the TOPLESs techniques and selective compression. I think your color scheme also helps to pull out the details on the front of the MOC. This is great work and well deserving of this...

Again, well done and keep up the great work!

A beautiful creation that's hard to believe came from such simple parts! With all the specialized parts today, a person can forget what is possible with only the basics. I really like the way you worked the colors as well. Wonderful job!

Well, maybe than some SNOT roof would be nice...I think it would look great without studs on the top.

Very nice, I like the way it appears to be made of all regular bricks and there are lots of studs showing.

It looks pretty much to scale too, great work.
