Hi all!

Its been a while since i last posted here. I havent build with lego for a while, but i just finished my latest MOC. I know the landscaping is a bit basic, but i wasnt in the mood to build anything more complex haha. Please forgive me :tongue:

Entrance to Khelduran

In this scene we see the entrance to the dwarven city Khelduran. A city where the mighty Stonehammer dwarves live. The entrance to the city is a massive statue of a famous dwarf. Between its legs are two great gates guarded by two dwarves. When its dark light can be seen through a couple of windows in the mountain. It looks like a cosy place to live...On the right side of the huge statue is a small corridor where a dwarf is on look out. From here the dwarves can spot anyone approaching their city. Two sinnister looking persons approach the dwarven gate...What are they up to?

The first one seems to be a cripple old man...But whats this?!? The second one is a greenskin?!?! What a nerve to bring such a foul creature to the dwarven gate! That old man will have to pay for this insult! His intentions can't be good...but what can a single old man do against these mighty dwarves with their massive gate?....

And one last note:

Remember in my previous moc (Golden Tulip hotel http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=391915) i introduced Mister Fish? I annouced back then that i will hide mister fish in my futur mocs. This MOC will be the first with Mister Fish hidden in it....Can you find him? The one who finds him first earns a cookie!! :tongue:

That's huge! I really like the texture on the beard of the dwarf.

Wow! The great figure over the entrance is fantastic! The hammer, the beard... beautiful design. I wanna see the folder! :tongue:

Oh wow! What a fantastic creation! Reminds me somewhat of the gate of Moria in LotR, even though it didn't have colossal dwarf carved onto a mountainside.

The snow really adds much to the creation, so good call on that. I love how it hangs off the hammer, too. The texture of the stone is really great, and the windows and balcony add a nice detail to the rockface.

The only thing I would change, if possible, would be to make the dwarven carving actually hold the hammer. Now it's kinda hovering there, unattached to the hand.

Thats crazy!! Awesome job on this, I can't open the folder on brickshelf but so far this thing is just 100% coolness, the giant dwarf is so cool. Great work, and hey don't dismantle this thing anytime soon, okay.

What a flat and high wall! :laugh:

It looks wonderful! :sweet:

I really like the use of white 1x1 plates on the cliff, maybe it's not intentional but it look like snowflakes in the air. I agree that the lights in the windows makes it look like a very cosy place. I must however ask what the yellow and gold 1x1 round on white flowers are supposed to be, I can't make that out.

Anyway, great work!

Rick was right, his face is in the ice. He guessed, and I found, so can we split the cookie? Oh yea, what flavor is it? :grin: It looks awesome dude, especially the lightup windows and crystal lantern.

I really love the texture in the beard, and the way the beard is threaded thorugh the loop things ( I lack the technical terms regarding dwarven beards) is really good, too.

I also spotted Mr. Fish.....lurking beneath the icy water. Impressive!

Nice MOC, reminds me a lot of Lord Of The Rings (the old cripple guy reminds me of Gandalf)

"The Cave" MOC from the other day was inspiring me to try to do the entrance to Moria, then I saw this.

Still may try myself.

Thank you!You may see what ever you want in it haha. It was intended as just some snow on the cliff, but me and my girlfriend also noticed the 'snowfall effect' in the photo's, which is nice too. :tongue:

The gold 1x1 on white flowers are supposed to be some sort of iceflowers :classic: I tried using the 'normal' colors like red, blue and yellow but i thought they caught too much attention so i choose a color that blended more with the rest of the landscape.

Yes you and Rick and both right. I guess you can split the cookie? :tongue: Nah! You get one each, haha.

Yes the crystal lights up.
