March 28, 201014 yr Wow. Nice effects! I really like how you made Hagrids motorbike take off. Looking forward to the full trailer!
March 28, 201014 yr Great job so far, I can't wait to see the result! I like your brickfilms, the effects are always very impressive. I was wondering about something. I've been thinking to translate the Harry Potter books to LEGO comics (or even shortened brickfilms as yours), but is it actually allowed to do that? I would put that the story and characters are copyright of J.K. Rowling, but I don't think she would make a deal out of it. But what about Warner Bros., would they do something if they discover someone has recreated the whole series to a comic or brickfilm?

I've been thinking along the same lines, but I was just going to recreate a few scenes. I'd say only do specific scenes as brickfilms. Comics would probably be the safer option if you really want to redo everything. JK wouldn't mind (she'd take it as a compliment) it's just Warner you should worry about.
March 28, 201014 yr Author The copyright is an importand thing. I think with Bricks/Legos you break the real "character" of the original to a minium, so that it is not "real" illegal. The only thing you can´t do than is make money with it. My trailer will be shown in an real cinema as "preview". And there will be a big poster outside on which says that one don´t have to pay for it, if one would like watch it. There is always the www-version online. Here are just 2 other "making of´s": If you give the copyrights to JKR like "based on the novelle by JKR" no one will hanting you. Actually I need an english version for Harry. If you/one have interest AND a goog microphone, just mail/pm me. Thanks an best regards, Mario PS: Excuse me for my bad english, its not my first language... Edited March 28, 201014 yr by mario72
