Posted March 31, 201014 yr "The time has come. Execute order 66. This project spent months- possible a year- in the making. It took several stages- originally it was just the two 'bridges' and that was it. Then I added a few rooms... then I added the side rooms. Eventually it became something much bigger than I had planned. The idea came up when I saw several 'Order 66' MOCs come up, but all of them being rather small. I decided I'd make something on a... larger scale. Room 1: The 'Hologram Room' This is based on the scene from episode III where Anakin arrives late for a report on the Outer Rim Sieges. Obi-Wan is seen shutting down a masive hologram. It was the first room besides the 'bridges' I added. Here, the Jedo are seen studying ship movement when the clone commander shoots one down. The other runs off, slicing a hole in the wall and escaping. Here is a more dramtic shot: Room 2: Clone controlled 'Bridge' The bridges came from a few different things. I believe they are the same place Obi, Yoda and Mace are seen walking down in Episode 2, But it came mainly from Episode 3, where the assault is seen at a much larger scale. It is also seen clearer in Star Wars Battlefront 2. In replace of the strangely placed turrets in Battlefront 2, I added an E-Web turret, as seen in the next shot. Also seen are a sniper, and a holographic generater. In the scene, the ramp up to the bridge was on fire, so in order to get a good position, the clones were forced to rappel up. Room 3: Jedi Archives This a more well known room in my MOC. THese were seen in Episode 2, and was a 'somewhat' key scene in the movie. In the Temple itslef, it kis VERY important- this where all the records of- well- most anything are stored. There are busts of some of the most memorable masters of the jedi order- apparently including the likes of George Lucas. In this shot, a shock tropper fired upon Jocasta Nu, but was then spotted by a Temple Vanguard- first scene in Battlefront 2. Room 4: Hanger This came from a deleted scene in Episode 2, showing Obi-Wan talking with Mace before leaving to Kamino. It includes a retractable platform. There is also an extention with a small hole in the wall, where Anakin would have entered, and defeated an elderly Knight. Later, two Jedi took the hanger back to escape. As one rushed to her fighter, a clone attacked, leaving her friend to cover her. 'Room' 5: The Statue Though not really a room- then again, niether are the 'bridges'- but I thought it deserved special attention. It is seen several times in the movies, but mainly in between the walkways from Episode 2 mentioned above. It went through several stages, originating silver- I.E. in grays- then going to gold after watching the second movie again, and finally to bronze after taking more carefull attention. In this scene a Neimodian Jedi took shelter on top of the statue, batting back bolts, but will he keep his balance? Room 6: Youngling Training Center This is one of the few scenes coming right from the movie. This where Anakin goes to deal with the Younglings. Odd- The weakest get the most attention. There are three Younglings here- a Kel Dor, a Rodian, and a Human. Also seen is the holographic star chart seen in Episode 2. Room 7: Jedi Controlled 'Bridge' This bridge came from the same places as the other bridge. This one is controlled by the Jedi, however. Clearly, a clone was originally on the bridge, reaching the top via a ladder. During the battle, the middle of the bridge collapsed, and the ladder went on fire, leaving him trapped. The Jedi attacked it, climbing up the other side, and making a makshift 'bridge' so the other Jedi took out the clone. The clone's weapons- a Tommy gun?- was then passed to the first Jedi. Room 8: Yoda's Quarters Ah... the first of the side rooms. This is seen several times in the course of the Prequels. However, each time it is only short scenes. In the Last of the Jedi series, Ferus Olin finds out that Inquisiter Malarum had used it as his office. Here Malarum is seen with a portable desk. Room 9: The Jedi Councel Chamber This probably the most well-known of the rooms. I will be utterly shocked if you haven't heard of this one. I was originally going to make all of the chairs somewhat complete, untill I realized I did not have the proper pieces to make several of each chair. so i made one full one fo each, and several destroyed versions. Here my favorite Jedi- whom I call Froghead- took shelter in the chamber, chased by a clone. Who will this duel? Who knows. Room 10: The Mess Hall This a EU room, never seen in the movies. It came up mainly from the need to create more rooms. It has a clone pilot face to face with a Vanguard captain. The Vanguards themselves went through a change. Originally, I had them looking like AT-ST drivers. After a closer look at the game, I changed them. This room has two foods not seen thusfar in Star Wars- a hot dog and hamburger. Room 11: The Room of a Thousand Fountains This is another EU location. Jude Watson's stories frequently include this room as a place for the Jedi to relax. The books also speak of the colours change in the light, which is what I hope I accomplished here. In this scene, a Geonosian Jedi- which would be an interesting sight indeed- is hiding in the room, but for how long? 'Room' 12: The Floor This is the main part of the MOC. It has several destroyed colums. It features a Vanguard explosives expert, a poor protocol droid fleeing, and a pasty faced Jedi rushing at the enemy. Well, that's it. Comment are welcome.
April 1, 201014 yr It looks like you might want to invest in a new camera or a tripod, if its not your camera's fault. I like how you worked in effects, but the scenery could be more defined, like uniformly colored walls and floors. Straight-up bricks aren't the best choice for effects though. Try using trans-colored pieces. You don't have to rush on MOCs, since most of the time they don't need to be in by a deadline. Take screenshots of the temple, pay Bricklink and Brickshelf (to compare people's MOCs) a visit, and make some sketches of what you want to see. Take what I said as advice, as I'd rather help someone build something, rather than rudely criticize and give no advice.
April 1, 201014 yr Interesting MOC 'The Legonater' also very creative indeed ! A tommy gun ? aw well ! I'm a conformist! !
April 1, 201014 yr Interesting moc, it has so many room elements. If I understand it right, most of these scenes are from the movies, yet almost all the Jedi are custom. Good work, I see a lot of time went into this, and so many pictures, I love pictures.
April 4, 201014 yr Author Thank you for all you kind comments. Good advice Flash, I will keep that in mind. But what did you mean by 'Straight-up bricks?'
April 5, 201014 yr This is amazing! From the pulled back view it looks random and messy, but with closes ups and story information it really looks good. (BTW, did the hotdog and hamburger appear in EU, or did you put them in yourself?)
April 6, 201014 yr Author This is amazing! From the pulled back view it looks random and messy, but with closes ups and story information it really looks good. (BTW, did the hotdog and hamburger appear in EU, or did you put them in yourself?) I don't believe they were in EU... but I'll go to Wookiepedia and check . Edited April 6, 201014 yr by The Legonater
April 7, 201014 yr Man how long did it take you to build that whole thing? I have to agree with everyone else, the whole thing rocked, but why are some of the pictures fuzzy? Where you moving when you took these shots?
April 8, 201014 yr Great Moc! I love all the types of Jedi! But the room the Padwans were in and the Jedi council room are the same thing. But like I said, Awesome Moc!!!!
April 8, 201014 yr But what did you mean by 'Straight-up bricks?' I think he bricks that are just basic colours such as red or orange. (Sorry for answering commander flash) Anyway I think it's a prettty good MOC I llike that you made the jedis individual .A bit of advice though try to hold your camera steady next time, some of the pics are to blurry to make out.
