JimBee Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Hello, Eurobricks Community. I have some sad news. With funds running low, I've been having trouble collecting Lego lately. Not that I want to anymore. You see, TLG has produced nothing but boring sets the past few years, and I'm sick of it. Lack of innovation, invention, and creativity with so many licensed themes really tick me off, but it's the shortage in themes like Belville and Bob the Builder that really bring me down. So, I've decided an easy compromise between giving up my ex-favorite hobby and not having one altogether, I'm going to start collecting Megablox. The higher quality bricks, the low prices, and cool themes like Halo and Animals really appeal to me, and I will be switching over. Thank you for your time, and thank you Eurobricks for giving me such a great time here. If you share my love for Megablox, keep an eye out for a new site that I will be creating (Euroblox). Quote
VBBN Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Lol, Eurobrlox. Oay sooo you will be sending me all of your unwanted lego? Quote
prateek Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 (edited) April fools much? I want your Lego more than VBBN Edited April 2, 2010 by prateek Quote
kill will Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I feel the same way, I wish there were more Bob the Builder sets, I missed them when they came out. Quote
def Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Funnily enough I was about to start a similar thread. I haven't decided, but considering the sheer amount of Megablocks I could get per Lego dollar has me on the fence. See you at EuroBlox! Quote
JimBee Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 Lol, Eurobrlox. It's a working title. Oay sooo you will be sending me all of your unwanted lego? If you really want them. It's super-efficient since we're in neighboring states, and it would be a waste of oil and gasoline if I just threw out all of that plastic. At least Megablox has the decency of using eco-friendly cow manure instead of gas. April fools much?I want your Lego more than VBBN Well, that's unfortunate, mister. I'm dead serious about it, and consider your invitation to Euroblox revoked. We have a special place for insolent Lego-lovers like yourself over there. Funnily enough I was about to start a similar thread. I haven't decided, but considering the sheer amount of Megablocks I could get per Lego dollar has me on the fence. See you at EuroBlox! I'm glad to see some interest, care to be a admin? Quote

dr_spock Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I have a 2x4 Mega Bloks plate on my desk that I can donate to your cause. My son found it in his Lego collection and quickly ejected it. Quote
RileyC Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Its sad to see you switch over but Im not going to argue because its your decision to make. I just you are able to get a lot of bang for your buck when you sell all your lego. Quote
5150 Lego Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Concidering the date, I can only hope your just having some fun at some memebers expense. Cause one can only be joking when one says MegaBlocks has better quality than lego. Having assembled a few of the halo sets for my Boss's son, the only way to keep them fully assembled was to glue them toeghter. So ya, nice try buddy! Quote
Rick Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 If you share my love for Megablox, keep an eye out for a new site that I will be creating (Euroblox). 1 woud realy liek a megabolx form. Can i sein UP h3re?!! You just wanna run your own Megabloks reviewer's academy, admit it. Quote
brickme Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 (edited) Euroblox hmm... Finally THE place I can go. I will donate some of my superior quality megabloks if it helps at all. I mean look at lego it's so cheap and brittle. When does the site open? Can I mod the site, banning any lego lovers? Will there be Megabloks mafia games? This is going to be the best. Ratshot Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I don't know what to think of you guys at times Quote
General Redwater Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Is this another April fools joke? Mega Blox might be cheaper, but have much worse quality! Quote
MetroiD Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Is this another April fools joke? Mega Blox might be cheaper, but have much worse quality! How about reading the thread first...? Jim, ironically enough, I'd rather start USBlox if I were you... I don't think you're anywhere near the Euro part of it anyway! Now, Rick for example - that's a different story - and I can totally see my good ol chum ditching LEGO and starting to shower in cheap megablocky bricks instead Quote
Rick Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Now, Rick for example - that's a different story - and I can totally see my good ol chum ditching LEGO and starting to shower in cheap megablocky bricks instead I can haz mooore Megabloks than Legos for same monie. $$$ Quote
def Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I'm glad to see some interest, care to be a admin? I'm disappointed by all the doubting Thomas' here. I will gladly join you in the halls of the new Euroblox empire. How is this as a motto: Value, Similarity, Megablocks ? Quote
The Legonater Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 If this isn't an April Fools joke, I know where you're coming from. Once LEGO Starwars and Indiana Jones both oficially finish, I don't think I'll see any LEGO of value anymore. But I will not downgrade my tastes to MegoBlox. I will buy what I like of LEGO- though at a less often rate. That's final. Quote
Ricecracker Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Really? Come on man, at least have the decency to tell me before we're about to start our game together. Sheesh. Well, good luck to you. Quote
Shadows Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Enjoy your title. at least have the decency to tell me before we're about to start our game together. I'll go change it to Megablox Mafia now. Quote
JimBee Posted April 3, 2010 Author Posted April 3, 2010 1 woud realy liek a megabolx form. Can i sein UP h3re?!! 0n7Y 1F U n0w DA 5ECr3t c0d3! You just wanna run your own Megabloks reviewer's academy, admit it. Did you have to spoil it? Jim, ironically enough, I'd rather start USBlox if I were you... I don't think you're anywhere near the Euro part of it anyway! But I like to pretend to. "Euro" sounds so much more reassuring, although the "UnitedBlox" could work. How is this as a motto: Value, Similarity, Megablocks ? Short and simple, I like it. Throw in a skin and banner fit for a king, and we're set. Get the advertisements ready. Really? Come on man, at least have the decency to tell me before we're about to start our game together. Sheesh. Well, good luck to you. Yeah, sorry, bud. I'm ditching you on this one, unless you redo the sets with Megablox. I cannot work under the current conditions. Enjoy your title. Laugh all you want, but don't come crying to us once you get yourself labeled over on UB. I'll go change it to Megablox Mafia now. Lost... in a sea of Lego. They really meant it when they said "this place is hell". Quote
user Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Wow not only have you switched sides but now you're anti lego? This is getting pretty sad. I mean megabloks mafia games? Megabloks barely has a tenth of the lego minifig selection. Not to mention the fact that 50% of Megabloks are just one use pieces that don't fit together properly. Sorry if you take this offensive I just find this transition to be stupid. Especially since you just became a grand-duke of this website! I'd think you'd be more into the brick than ever before. I need an ice pack. Quote
JimBee Posted April 4, 2010 Author Posted April 4, 2010 Is it safe to say that April Fool's Day is over in all parts of the world now? I think so. So yeah, it was an April Fool's joke, to anyone who was fooled. I didn't expect much to come out of this, but I did get a few laughs from those who thought I was serious. Thanks for the praising title, as well, Shadows. Until next year, then. Quote
