Ever tried hugging a mini-fig? Hurts eh? Well thanks to the $25 AUD LEGO Articulated Plush you don't need to suffer any longer.

This guy is obviously a construction fig, and his hat is removable. Unfortunately only the arms are "articulated" which does limit his use.

Aside from the yellow hands he's a very close match to the real fig.

He is however better in that he has a back print and a full belt.

There's actually four in the set, but since I'd rather spend $75 on actual LEGO I just bought one. (I'd probably feel different if they had different themes... or a female.) However for completeness I took these photos at the local K-Mart where I found them.

They all have back prints; the generic guy is supposed to have a cap but it was missing.

Here's how they are supposed to be displayed. (K-Mart didn't pay me for neatening up their shelf. :sceptic: )

So where can you find him? I've done a few searches and I've had little luck. eBay seems to have a few, but I can't find any other on-line retailers who stock them. If anyone knows more please post the info here; it's the perfect addition to a geeks soft toy collection! :wub:

On a more serious note these are available in UK at Argos, and Tesco. But im quite happy hugging ABS MiniFigs for now.

Got one of these a few days ago, weirdly enough mine is not one featured on that pic of yours and is nowhere to find on the 'net or @Brickset. So I guess he must be the "older" version. He's still fun anyway :) Feels a bit like a b-boy to me, constantly doing the robot moves (because of his legs' weird positioning) :grin:

They look cheap & nasty!! The sort of thing you'd pick up at a fun fair on one of the hook a duck stalls!

:cry_sad: Well it may look that way but he's not. If he was he'd be in pieces by now; I'm playing with him all the time and I bought him a few months back.

What is that grey thing in the last pic? Is it one of those cuddly microbes/viruses?

Yeah, it's the neuron. I've got a few of them too! :tongue:

Cool! My cousin has something like this, but it's a crash test dummy instead of a fig. I'd like this, but only if it was cheaper. I'm not willing to pay $20 for one of these; as you said, might as well spend that money on actual Lego.

These plush figures are interesting. I never saw any of these before except for the one MetroiD posted, so thanks for the pictures!

I personally would spend my money on some real sets, but if they have these at a LEGOLAND I might buy it as a souvenir. :classic:

I saw these last year at my NZ Kmart. I wanted to get the regular plush fig, but when I returned to the shop, all the hats had been stolen. :thumbdown:

They're very cute though, and hopefully they might be restocked some time in the future.

Yeah, that would be really cool, but no.

I thought I saw a neuron in there! The plush microbes are stealing the show in my opinion. I can't see myself getting on of these at all.

I've got more of those; the common cold, the nit... and I've got the pox. Here's some of my soft toy collection!

Yeah, that was the story with most of what was left when I took the store photos. It would have been smarter if they tacked on the hats.

Its adorable :3

...and he fits the figs hand perfectly! The neuron is very useful when I need some extra brain power.

Thanlks 'Siegfried' for the review.........saw these in Kmart months ago and thought a 3 boys dream come true, a cop or fire fighter or whatever his size or close to.

I feel that they have a limitted market, like I said young kids mainly boys - though some girls might go them too - who knows ?

My son Huon was born just on a month ago..

and some friends brought him one of these big figs!

While at the hospital, he was used MANY times by the nurses, when showing us various techniques.. how to swaddle/wrap up a baby... burping methods, etc... kinda funny! :)

And now, I think we'll be using him as a 'reference' point, in a weekly/monthly photo (in the same pose), to show how he's growing, over the next year or so.

Nicely made soft-fig too..the arms move well.. shame the legs don't fold up.. otherwise, it'd be perfect!

By the way, you can actually make your own, like I did. The head, torso and legs are separate piece and the arms can move.

The pattern is not mine and I'm not the best knitter, but I'm sure, if you ask someone that can knit ,to make you one, they probably will.
