First you get the Smiley and choose the magic wand:

Select the outline of the smiley, the bits you don't want white:

Select Colour in the Toolbar and go down to Colour to Alpha:

A little menu will come up, saying "This is what it looks like, blah blah blah, Just press ok and it should turn out like this:

Now, Save it as a PNG, Remember, Select it as a file type from the menu below:

Then it will say "Blah blah", Just click Save:

And upload the File on Photobucket, Brickshelf, Imageshack, Blargabloog, Bligableeg e.t.c.
