Darkdragon Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 That is actually correct. Warwick Davis (also known for his titular role in "Willow") played the ewok Wicket in Star Wars, and Professor Flitwick as well as the goblin bankteller in Harry Potter. All these have been (or will be) released as minifigs. He also plays a character named Wald in Star Wars, don't know if that has been made into a minifig, though. There is a minifig for all of these, including Wald now. So I guess Warwick wins. Quote
punkkid364 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) Actually, the Griphook fig is from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, where the character was played by Verne Troyer. Warwick DID play him in Deathly Hallows 1&2, but there was not a fig made from these movies. He ties at 3. Edited July 14, 2012 by punkkid364 Quote
Hinckley Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Actually, the Griphook fig is from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, where the character was played by Verne Troyer. Warwick DID play him in Deathly Hallows 1&2, but there was not a fig made from these movies. He ties at 3. This is somewhat correct. Warwick Davis played "Goblin Bank Teller" in Sorcerer's Stone. Look it up on IMDB. The first Gringott's contains a random goblin. We can call that Warwick's Bank Teller and give him the title. Quote
Darth Caedus Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Wald was not made into a minifig. A pity though, because he's a Rodian and there are not very much rodian heads. Looks like Warwick Davis technically ties for 1st place with Molina, but since he's in makeup for all his minifig appearances - Ewok Wicket, Goblin Flitwick, Rodian Wald, I don't count it. Omicron Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Seems we can add Gary Oldman to the list with Sirius Black and the TDKR Commissioner Gordon. -Omi Quote
Bricktooth Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 And don't forget Ian McKellen with Gandalf and Magneto (although the latter is the comic version, so I guess it's 1 and 1/2). Quote
Cammo Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Orlando's Legolas and Will Turner is another example Quote
Oky Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 And Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan and Deadpool (although, again, the latter is comic based, so it doesn't really count). Quote
Fives Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I'm not sure if this counts, but Mark Hamill with Luke Skywalker and the voice of Joker from the cartoon series. Quote
ADHO15 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) I know they're all in the same theme, but I just realised and found it interesting that Silas Carson now has three characters and four minifigs in LEGO: Ki-Adi-Mundi (though technically a Clone Wars version when he was voiced by someone else), Nute Gunray (2), Radiant VII Pilot He's been mentioned for all of his minifig appearances as Luke Skywalker, but Mark Hamill has voiced the Joker quite a bit, so that gives him another 3 figs or so and a second theme. He voiced Wolverine in a 2003 videogame too. Tom Kane has voiced many Star Wars characters that have been released as minifigs, as well as Gandalf, Magneto, Commissioner Gordon, Dr Doom and Tony Stark, that have or will be made into minifigures, so he could do very well, depending on the rules of the topic! Similarly, Corey Burton's voiced Count Dooku, Captain Marvel and The Scarecrow. Also, Richard Armitage apparently played a Naboo Fighter Pilot, of which there are a few minifig representations, and he will also be released as Thorin Oakenshield in next year's The Hobbit sets, as far as I know. It's amazing what you can find when scanning IMDB for this stuff! Even Tim Allen has voiced Buzz Lightyear and Santa Clause! How far can the rules of this topic be stretched?! EDIT: Dammit, Fives! Omicron Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I'm not sure if this counts, but Mark Hamill with Luke Skywalker and the voice of Joker from the cartoon series. When did Lego make a Joker fig based on his cartoon appearance? -Omi Quote
sologuy369 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 When did Lego make a Joker fig based on his cartoon appearance? -Omi They haven't but it's still a Joker. Quote
Omicron Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) They haven't but it's still a Joker. Then it doesn't count. And wouldn't count anyways if they did because it doesn't use his likeness. -Omi Edited July 14, 2012 by Omicron Quote
Oky Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I agree. As much as I love Hamill's Joker, if we count him, we might as well count every other actor and voice actor who has ever portrayed the character since the minifig is based on the comics. Quote
vexorian Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I'm not sure if this counts, but Mark Hamill with Luke Skywalker and the voice of Joker from the cartoon series. If it did, then Mark Hamil would win in LEGO representations overall, as he is the voice of LEGO factory's Von Nebula and Fire Lord too :P Quote
Zilcho Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 When did Lego make a Joker fig based on his cartoon appearance? -Omi Is he based on a pre-Dark Knight Joker? He looks nothing like the Heath Ledger one. :S Quote
LEGOman273 Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I'm not sure if this counts, but Mark Hamill with Luke Skywalker and the voice of Joker from the cartoon series. He also voiced Zuko in A:TLA. Quote
Oky Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 He also voiced Zuko in A:TLA. No, he voiced Fire Lord Ozai. If it did, then Mark Hamil would win in LEGO representations overall, as he is the voice of LEGO factory's Von Nebula and Fire Lord too :P He is? I knew about Von Nebula, but it would funny if he voiced two fire lords. And don't you mean HERO Factory? Quote
Tontus Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 You can add Jack Purvis who played a Jawa, Gonk Droid, and Teebo (the Ewok, not the Tim). He was also an Ugnaught, but LEGO seems to have fast forwarded past those scenes when watching Empire. All in the same license, but still 3 characters made. Quote
RaincloudDustbin Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Warwick Davis is the winner because the Diagon Alley set isn't based on one movie- it has elements from... Philosopher's Stone Chamber of Secrets Half Blood Prince Deathly Hallows So Griphook could still be Warwick Davis. Quote
Omicron Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 (edited) https://p.twimg.com/AtrAQDKCMAAgSzs.jpg Magneto does not count for Ian McKellen because it is based on his comic appearance, not the movie. Lego is not making Xmen figs based on the movies (and can't anyways unless Fox allows them too.) Not to mention Kenny Baker does not count because his portrayals are not based on his likeness. Same with Davis' SW and Griphook (with the exception of Flitwick, that does count). The Griphook fig used a basic, generic head that was not modeled after Griphook, but the goblins in general. If that makes sense. :/ Quote
