Most Annoying and Best Adverts in your Country?

The most annoying ones are the DFS adverts with the terrible song (i HATE HATE HATE Rockstar.) being mimed by terrible actors.

Also its repeated like 5 times every hour.

I can't really think of any annoying Canadian ads except this ( ):

Some American ads really annoy me, like some on Peachtree TV or Spike, but I can't think of any specific ones off the top of my head.

All of those money-grabbing, conning Cash-4-Gold adverts. Terrible actors, and a generally ethically disgusting way of making money. They buy cheap gold in the recession, off people desperate for money, and then they sell it on for more when the economy has cleared up.

Yeah like the actors with no expression or enthusiasm in those "Thank you, Cash 4 Gold..." and those "Have you had accident at work?". When the person says "I recieved £2000 and was really happy", They don't show it well do they?!

Given what the gold price is doing lately, I dont think those "we buy gold" type people need to wait very long before selling the gold they buy :)

Okay, first of all, if you're looking for realism in a toy commercial, you're out of luck. It's meant to sell a product, and kids don't give a megablock about realism as long as it looks cool.

Irish telly is FULL of bad ads - PLUS the British ones. My personal most hated at the moment, and for the past while, is that hair one with whatsername from Big Brother: "Will it do my bit of grey?" "All your grey, mum!"

Guinness put out good ads, but they've been trying way too hard lately. The one where the guys are building the landscape (or something) is just crap, and the Area 22 one is dumb as a brick.

Good ads must therefore be treasured.

Here in Ireland, this ad has become something of a classic. He says: "Can I go to the toilet?" "And a red dog" "Sweet cake" "Sharon Ní Bheolainn (a tv presenter)" "I have a jumper" "There are clouds in the sky" "Give me the cake" "Quiet road girl milk"

Besides the Gocompares and Halifax's, we buy any car is a big one. Unfortunatly, I really hate lego city adds. Huge buildings which can actualy be put out if on fire, and every god damded person is American! Consolation? Cadbury pint and a half productions are amazing.

I did not mean it like that, sorry, Its just that i get realy frustrated at the Americanization of Britain. The only T.V shows my nephew watches are American or riddled with American accents and phrases, and due to his young age he is consistantly using this accent. Our pop culture is your pop culture, ect. Idont hate America, infact I would pledge America is by far ahead of my country in greatness. It's just that I wish our media wouldn't fill our kids brains with as much American junk. Just my opinion sorry, I probably sound like some old fellow ranting about how times have changed to much. Beleive me, I would jump onto a jet over there if Icould, it seems to be the only place to make a difference now.

Over here in the US, I'm completely sick of the AT&T ads. The guy that does them seems so sleazy in my opinion, and it seems like they're always on.d

One of the companies that have really good ads in my opinion is Etrade, with their babies talking like adults commercials. Bud Light has some good ones as well.

Thats why every Beer advert or pastry advert is British, But their adult aimed. Kids hate Vegetable pasties from Greg's or can't drink Beer so they need some British toy adverts!

There's a radio ad for some raspberry icecream doing the rounds at the moment too, some young girl telling her grandfather about how the cows run off and eat raspberries to make the icecream. All ads like these make me cringe, except the Fig Rolls ones based on Give up Yer Aul Sins.

I found the Go Compare adverts pretty funny the first time, but then they became very annoying. Other annoyances are the 118 adverts and the stupid car ones that sponser movies. At the start of the commercials and at the end, and then this repeated ten or more times over in all the ad breaks gets quite tiresome.
