Siegfried Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 My point is basically is that it's not necessarily the fault of some lazy programmer (though it could be). OK, I'll stop blaming the programmers. It's VERY hard to make this smart enough to be 99% effective and at the same time be subtle enough to mostly just affect people trying to abuse the system. Indeed. I actually tried signing up there in the past and had the same problem. I could use Erdbeereis because it contains the word beer. Beer? Quote
The Crazy One Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Oh man, I laughed so hard. The naivity of it makes it hilarious! Quote
fred67 Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 The posting policy on their message boards is worse. Instead of being patrolled by moderators looking for inappropriate posts, they hold posts in a queue (I've had ones spend as much as a week on the parent board). What worse is what's inappropriate: "Will they sell the Kingdoms Advent calendar in the U.S.?" Sorry, you can't ask that. "Is there some third party LEGO could allow to make 9V tracks?" Umm... nope... after spending a week waiting for it to be approved, no less. When you post in the kids forums, it's like a day wait. Quote
vexorian Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 This is truly a clbuttic mistake for the books, so sad it happened to LEGO. Quote
