Review - the minifigs from 8097 Slave 1

Here´s a superquick review (because I need to catch a flight to Billund

) of the minifigs from the coming 8097 Slave 1.

Yes, it was just a trick shot in the movie, Han didn´t really get freezed !

Well, thanks alot CopMike. After all my steadfast reluctance, I'm beginning to fear I'll be buying the new set just for these guys. And I can't even tell if I'm happy or angry about it.

Great find 'CopMike' - all three look AWESOME and the set is worth getting even just for these.

Facial expressions for Boba and Han - really awesome !

I absolutely love these! I'm definitely going to have to pcik up the new Slave 1 when it comes out, seeing as the only one I have is the blue one with Jango. Only thing I'd say was to have some hair for Boba, but that's not a big issue as you never see him in the film without a helmet. :p

This is really nice! I'm impressed with the updated Boba Fett helmet and jet pack, plus the cloak. Those designers keep stepping up their game. They really do work for their money.

Hmmm, Boba has a flesh head. I know we know that he is a Jango clone, but seeing as we don't see his adult face in the movies, but I think I might swap his head for a black one. It sounds strange, but Boba still holds an air of mystery and I think a face takes that away.

Only one slight thing that I am disappointed about is that they didn't give Boba printed arms and legs, ala cloud city!

These minifigs are truly amazingly detailed.

I believe this could influence my buying decision towards the new Slave I.

Wow. Those minifigs are awesome, Bossk's head is very nicely done and Han's and Boba's faces are perfect. The torso prints in the new style look very good.

I fear I might be tempted to buy the set, even though I already have the 2006 version and Jango's.

The great advantage of being a ambassador...

I think TLC did a great job on Boba's helmet and outfit. Even a new face!

Also love Bossk's head, very nice details. Teeth and all.

The carbonite is much better than the old version, I love Han's expression!

But the pauldron is in my opinion intended to be partly over the shoulder and not just on the back under the jetpack.

Wow! These minifigs are amazing!

I am not sure if anyone has already said this, but I think that the cloak on Boba Fett is supposed to go over his shoulder, and not just behind him. You can see in the brickset page that that is how it is ( http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=8097-1 ).

Those are some beautiful minifigs. Only complaint is how they seem to overdo the wrinkles on clothing, and the level of detail is a bit too high for what I like to consider LEGO's art style.

That Boba is so tempting. Maybe I'll end up buying this set for the minifigs and selling the ship. I don't need 3 Slave 1's.

EDIT: ...or not. $79.99? Are they insane?
