KurttKrueger Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Really pleased I never got round to buying any of the previous Slave 1's now :D Will definately be picking this one up later this year. Quote
sok117 Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Gosh darn you Copmike, , Those figs are 100% awesome, although Bobas helmet does sit a little high on his head, I want these so bad!!!! BTW, your Han looks to be misprinted, is it just me or has this been happening a lot lately... Quote
ZO6 Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Those minifigs are far too deliciously sexy This is definitely one of those times when you have to look past the price of the set and go "What the heck, I collect LEGO and those minifigs are sexy as hell and I want that set to be part of my collection!" Note: please forgive the excessive use of the word "sexy" in this post - but honestly, those are some fantastic looking figs. Quote
Anio Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Does Boba have blue clothes in the movie ? Or is it a Clone Wars version of Boba Fett ? Quote
EspEth12 Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 (edited) What what, what!!!Mike, I want your ambassader job!! Damn, I'm jealous, thanks for the nice pics!!! oooh... so thats how he got them. Lucky! Did you get only the minifigs or the whole set? Edited April 12, 2010 by EspEth12 Quote
Piranha Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Boba Fett is freaking amazing  I want Thank you Copmike, how do you get all this new stuff anyway? Quote
Mofo Jones Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 I don't know if it's appropriate to say in this topic, but I want the boba molds so bad I wonder if they're doing a mandolorian CW battle pack next year. doesn't seem unlikely... Didn't you see the news from a couple of weeks ago? The mandalorian pack's going to be all pastel shades though.... Quote
The Legonater Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Nice... The thing I love the most is that with the new jetpack Boba finally gets his superb cape. Bossk and the new carbointe are good as well. But my wallet sayd "ouch..." Quote
LegoDad42 Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Ahhh...just an awesome looking helmet for Boba Fett. The chipped paint is such a nice detailed touch. Definitely gonna' get this new Slave I. Anyone know the retail price of this yet? Quote
Just Imagine Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Nice mini figures all around. Although, I have to say, the detail is a bit too high on Han's shirt, it makes the rest of him and all other figures around him look kinda cheap. I do wish the Boba's helmet and jetpack were dark green. There's something about that sand green color that makes him look so plastic, in my opinion. Quote
The Nightwing Reborn Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Based only on these figures, I'd say this is the best set of 2010. I primarily need this for the figs, but seeing the ship as well I know this purchase will be justifiable. I hope that you can review the ship as well soon, Copmike! Quote
NarakuAulonocara Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Boba and Bosk are The only complaint is that Boba doesn't have printed legs and arms. If you are going to add details, those are things to consider. This is a set I must get. However, I'm not too sure of Han. He doesn't quite look like "Han" anymore but more like a random lego man. Quote
ILikePi Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Ooh, more early release items for our beloved ambassador, eh? All three minifigs (plus the carbonized han) look lovely! Boba's helmet is filled with detail, and I like the metallic printing. His new design of tattered cape is very cool, an antenna was a neat addition, and it's great that he finally got a separate jetpack piece. Now the snowtroopers are due for separate backpacks too... We've already seen Bossk, but he still looks stunning! Very cool head mold and torso design. Does he (and Boba) have any back printing though? Han Solo looks quite accurate to the movie (I just watched episodes IV and V last week), and his carbonite block looks fantastic! Does his head fit perfectly into the depression that's inside the piece? EDIT: Ahh, here's Bossk's back printing: Quote
Ras 74 Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Thanks a million CM! This set is so worth to get for anyone. Even if you have all the previous versions or not. If you are hesitating because you have the previous one, sell that one off quick and get this one instead. Thanks ILikePi for finding that only pic CM forgot to take Can´t wait for the full review. Have fun in The-Place-To-Be!! Will very soon attend the best Event ever there myself Quote
Bobskink Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 To bad Boba's helmet is only detailed by paint, the black parts are just painted on, they aren't groves. Quote
Eskallon Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Very nice Boba and the others are cool too. I wasn't even gonna want to get this, but now I just might. Thanks for the review CM. Oh and, I haven't read the other pages. Does Han fit directly into the carbonite mold and does it have like a plate to seal it off at the back? Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 To bad Boba's helmet is only detailed by paint, the black parts are just painted on, they aren't groves. So he's a complete cone-head? I wish he had the old type of helmet shape... Quote
Santhor Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Wow! I can't believe you got it so soon, even being an ambassador. Can you get a few pics of the CTT or Kingdoms? Boba looks great, so does Han. These are still due for August right? -Santhor Quote
KimT Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Based only on these figures, I'd say this is the best set of 2010. I doubt that Can't wait for the full scale review on this set. Keep it up people. Quote
General Magma Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Wow, they're awesome! Can't wait to get this set. Thanks for sharing this with us, CopMike! The sand blue on Boba is less though. Ah well, we can always replace it with the right color. Other than that he's the best of the three! Bossk is a great figure too, and very detailed just like Boba. Han looks a bit strange sadly. He still has that smirk on his face just like the old one, but if I would be freezed in carbonite I wouldn't be looking happy at all. Looking forward to a set review! I doubt that Somebody has a secret... ~ General Magma Quote
Anio Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Does Boba have blue clothes in the movie ? Or is it a Clone Wars version of Boba Fett ? Nobody knows ? Quote
Mofo Jones Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 In some ESB/ROTJ scenes his clothes look grey, in darker scenes, they look kind of....bley. Considering that the other figs are Bossk and Han, I'm sure that this minifig is not a Clone Wars version of Boba. Quote
Just Imagine Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Nobody knows ? I'm guessing this is the "Clone Wars" version. So the blue may be some leftover from Jango's armor. Quote
jamtf Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 The Bossk head makes an excellent Batman Killer-Croc villain minifig. Quote
