I'm really no use in a fight, so I'd like to move as far away from the tentacles as possible. If anyone gets wounded I can try to help stop bleeding, etc.

Is the slope that is a different shade a clue?

Too bad we do not have a camera to see what the apperition is.

*It doesn't matter who that is, it matters what they are drawing you to.*

How about you girls with swords do some slashing while the rest of us retreat to a safe position with our newly claimed gems? If a tentacle does get close, I'll whack it with my incredibly large femur. Well, Stanton's. Whatever.

*Sheldon and several others begin attacking the tentacles with the bones. The tentacles do not like being stabbed with the bones.*

Somebody here is going to pay very, very dearly for this!

Thank you for your wise guidance, oh mighty Dayus. But now, I must deal to the encroaching threat of evil tentacle from the Realms Below. Have at thee, vile serpents of death!

*Diesel begins shearing off tentacles with the sword. However, they just continue to flail about the room, trying to ensnare somebody...*

Oh dear. I had no idea my carelessness would cause such a grave situation. That's... I'm sorry Diesel...

I would like to take a look at the gems, see how many there are in each colour. It would seem we'd all go for the green gem, wouldn't it? I mean, other than alleged the traitor in the group, it seems we'd all prefer to avoid this dark path of Vacuus...

Or right, the evil monsters! I would like to get all stabby with the tentacle thing encroaching on my beloved husband!

*It seems whenever somebody takes a gem, the basin replenishes itself.*

*slashes wildy at tentacles*

Damn ye to hell, demons! Damn ye!

Retreat everyone! Retreat!

*Sylvia begins slashing at tentacles with the same result Diesel has.*

"Everyone back to the Sulaco!"

oh, wait a sec....

I would like to grab a dark red gem and approach one lot of tentacles to see if they will retreat, I dont want to get too close and break my camera though.

*Samantha grabs a red gem and waves it towards the tentacles. They do not seem to be affected by the gem.*

*Shouts at Penny and William* Push down that different colored slope! It makes something move behind the panels on the left wall to the right of the alcove. The last thing we did in that room as a group was unlock the panel, but then we forgot to push that stone again to reveal the secret panel. ( I think)

*Looks at the tentacles* Ahhh! *Aims for the base of the tentacles in his corner* *Fire rifle*

*Finally, someone is right. Ding Ding Ding Ding! Fred remembers the lever moving something but never seeing a result. The lever control a pivoting wall behind the panel. The panel was only opened after it revolved one time. The lever must be pushed again to see what's on the other side of the revolve.*

William, help me shove the slope down!

*I'd like to push the off coloured slope!*

*Penny and William push the lever down and the wall where the gems once stood revolves, revealing a lever. The pair do not hesitate to pull it...*

Surely it is the other way round? I might have heard wrong, being as weak as I am.

Also, I am not sure I am comfortable being this close to the tentacles.....

* I would like to try and move as fast as I can in my state to the safest area of the room, with or without Siegourney's help. *

*Siegourney comes to Chris's rescue and puts herself between him and the tentacles. They are up against the gate, which begins moving...*

NOOOoooOOO! DJ!!! NOO! *tears stream down face* That's it! This demon has messed with the wrong hockey soccer mom's family! *pulls out Bone, which was not in her hands earlier...* Go back to the hells from which you came!! *she doesn't really attack the tentacles, but uses the bone as self defense.*

*A pissed off Donna attacks a tentacle with her Zach (or Stanton) bone. The tentacle, after being stabbed by the grieving mother several times, withers and disappears.*

*Diana hides behind Ingrid who seems to be doing an excellent job keeping the tentacles at bay.*

*Chris Owen finds the strength to lunge for Rich and pulls him away from the tentacle. Once Siegourney realizes what is happening, she helps Chris drag Rich out of the Ceremony Chamber under the retreating gate.*

*Sylvia switches to a bone and stabs her way past the remaining tentacles, while Diana sees the opportunity to escape behind the swashbuckling blond.*

*Ingrid and Tony kick some major tentacle, bone-stabbing the remaining tentacles on the north side of the room into dust.*

*Sheldon grabs Sandy and retreats to the safety of the Grand Chamber.*

*Donna and Diesel, together, stab the living crap out of the remaining tentacles until they are all vaporized.*

*The group, safe once more-at least for the time being-reunites with William and Penny in the Grand Chamber.*

So... now we've been to all the rooms and solved all the puzzles? What should we do next? Sandy here, is still injured and quite possibly hallucinating, Chris didn't seem to be in good shape either. Maybe some of us should stay here and tend to the wounded while another group goes to retrieve the first aid kit from the bus? Safety in numbers and all that.
