BaronSat Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Hello, My custom model for Metrotower, a place for superheroes to rest and prepare plans to save the world A non scale model build as a display for minifigs. Enjoy, And the link to my Flickr folder Quote
Sisco Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Very nice work, as usual, Baronsat! It really has a beautiful, colorful, smooth look to it. 10/10 Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Very nice MOC 'BaronSat' - nice use of colours and shapes, you gave it a real DC comics feel ! How about a minifig scale one eh ? (now that would be AWESOME !) I'm a conformist! ! Quote
RoryoCox Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Very nice BaronSat. The fountains are really nice. Also the shape of the building is fabulous. Well Done Quote
Lord Arjay Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 That's really nice BaronSat. Lots of nice details in there. Well Done! Quote
sok117 Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 The tower is awesome, I think you did a very good job scaling it so it looks nice and smooth without losing major details. For the figs though, I would change superman's head, It just doesn't look right with the others. And you need flash. Nuff said. Quote
k_peek_2000 Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 That is awesome! The colors are fantastic!!!! Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 That is excellent! The color and design are really good. My only issue would be that the minifigures throw off the scale but they also look very cool since the MOC is about them. Really beautiful MOC. Quote
Big Cam Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Haha, I loved the old Justice League cartoon, and that is a pretty good representation of the MetroTower. Not to scale but it looks spot on!! Quote
Capt. Thomas Foolery Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Wow! This is fantastic! Love the lines. Love the feel. Great job! You captured the spirit of the Justice League exceptionally! Quote
FilmGirl27 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Wow, great work Baronsat! I love how it is in comic book style! Keep it up! Quote
LegoDad42 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Excellent building! Love the color scheme too. Do you make any diorama's of Marvel heroes? This looks great. Inspiring me to build a Marvel setting. Quote
BaronSat Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 Thanks guys you're too kind I'm pleased you enjoyed the model and the colors because yes I tried to get the cartoon's spirit as much as I could. And it was nice to build in color instead of gray or black as I do all the time The fact that it's not to scale (and no I won't build one in scale, are you crazy lightningtiger? ) seems to work well if I believe what I read here and that please me too. I hope to build more super heroes dioramas and have some ideas "in stock" but my next model (coming soon) for justice League will be a vehicle... Quote
sok117 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I hope to build more super heroes dioramas and have some ideas "in stock" but my next model (coming soon) for justice League will be a vehicle... It better not be wonder woman's invisible jet , that would be such a waste of talent Quote
Delta 38 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I'm not familiar with the actual building, but it looks fine to me. I don't know if it was intended, but it's quite colourful (in a good way). Quote
BaronSat Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 It better not be wonder woman's invisible jet , that would be such a waste of talent   But finally not a bad idea. Quote
funkybrick Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Looks absolutely great! Good job! funkybrick Quote
Batbrick Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Absolutely stunning BaronSat, you never fail to impress and amaze with your playsets and vehicles. I adore the bright, positive atmosphere to this one, really hearkens back to the classic Superfriends cartoons. The characters look great barring Wonder Woman needing black hair and Superman having a weird face. Aquaman is perfect though. Not much else to say, but the sleek look of the building is great and the blue an brown really sell it. Batbrick Away! Quote
Princess Muttonchops Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Awesome MOC BaronSat! I love the comic-book/cartoon feel to this creation. It does make one wonder though, why does the Justice League tower have to be so tall? Are there actually offices in that impressively tall structure? Nice custom figs too! Quote
BaronSat Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 (edited) Hello, The vehicle I mentioned previously is now on this forums, see here : Javelin 7 As you'll see it's not invisible Edited April 29, 2010 by BaronSat Quote
