Last week-end I got hands on some bricks (1X2 & 1X8) in the new colour "Medium Dark Flesh".

It was obvious, that I had to build something persian, to see how the new colour looked on large surfaces .

This is what I came up with:

Wow! I agree with prateek, the colors of the MOC look very pleasing to the eye. What threw me off though was the size of the building. When I first saw the picture, it looked as if it were very small, but then I noticed the 1 x 1 cones and tiles on the ground. :oh:

My favorite parts are the balcony in the back (what parts did you use for the railings?), and the wooden supports you have sticking out, both of which are neat details.

Well done! Nice to see so much medium nougat, it's a lovely natural colour and I hope that there will be more PoP sets released in the future, because the part selection in this colour is relatively limited.

That looks great... the colours go perfectly and I love the architectural details... it really does have that Middle Eastern feel to it. Has it got an interior?

Nice work!!

Wow! I wish I had that much medium nougat... still haven't got a single piece. I really like the architecture on the gate and balcony.

Nice work! The shape is very classical and the detailing is just right. The new colour does look good en masse!

I disagree; for a new colour the part selection is actually pretty good and contains a lot of basic bricks rather than too many specialised pieces. Compare it with the release of other rare colours like dark red or dark tan, where we are still waiting to see some basic parts appear in those shades. We do need some plates and tiles though. The colour also features heavily in the Harry Potter Burrows set but I don't know if the part sleection is actually any different.

:oh3: Wow! You sure did get your hands on the new SWRC!

That is a massive building! It looks very Middle eastern, if not a bit bland around the edges.

The wooden beams are a beautiful addition to this well designed MOC

True, but I want more, MORE!!! Plates and tiles was exactly what I was thinking of. Actually I didn't realise that the colour would also be used in sets outside of PoP, this is good news. I may even get over the disappearance of sand red from the active colour list, eventually :sadnew:

Thank you everybody.

I know that it's not a masterpiece if moccing, but I'm quite satisfied anyway.

I'm also fond of the wooden roof-beams - glad you like it too.

The house hasn't got an interior yet - actually it's quite ugly on the inside - I'll try to post a picture tomorrow.
