lightningtiger Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 AWESOME flat bed 'AllanSmith' and a much better looking HD tow truck from 7642 garage set. Flat bed mechanism - very good ! I'm impressed by these that's for sure ! Excellent work and I'm a conformist! 'AllanSmith' really I'm a conformist! ! Quote
dr_spock Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Good work. Nice flatbed. I thought Al would win since he appears to have more traction and a stronger winch than Ed. Poor little Small Car. Quote
Redcross Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Very solid design AlanSmith, I wonder were you inspired by the sticker? Also what piece did you use to achieve changing the angle on the flat bed? Quote
Rick Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 These are both great Allan. I really like the mechanism on the flatbed. Also, I like the more toned-down look of the tow truck compared to the one from 7642. Quote

The sticker inspired the coloursI used 2 of these and a technic axle through this It is keep upright by using this against the grill plates above the mudguards Quote
The Cobra Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Nice indeed; it would have been outstanding if you had modded the smart making it look like a short Limo (white everywhere except for the black line on bottom). Quote
AllanSmith Posted May 24, 2010 Author Posted May 24, 2010 MOC update. Bricklink parts arrived so I have made it more orange with new mudguards, inverted 1 x 6's etc. Also replaced the dark grey chassis with orange. Moved white stripe up. Enjoy Quote
