You should rightfully be proud. That's one beeeep of a task you set out to do seven months ago.

So, what's next? Any ideas?

Thank you very much, Superkalle. :classic:

Oh, don't worry. There'll be more sets on the way soon!

Admittedly, the headgear you chose for him looks pretty cute and feels appropriate for a less fancy sort of chef selling... barbecue drumsticks... on the street... for some reason.

I agree. That hat looks much better.

Why modified headgear for the chef? The chef's hat is available on LDD- it's part 3898 MINI BAKER'S HAT, and appears in the minifig parts category.

EDIT: Also, his drumstick should be dark orange, not reddish brown.

I was looking for that damn baker's hat repeatedly last night and can't seem to find it (maybe I was just tired or something). I'll try to fix it later, as well as the drumstick color. Thanks for pointing out.

EDIT: There you go, already edited the entry. Thanks again for the help.

I can't download the file. Is it a problem of mine or other users can confirm it?

It appears to be a problem with Windows SkyDrive, which occasionally changes the URL to the file to avoid direct linking. I'm going to start transferring all the files over to a Brickshelf account, so should have that done by the end of the evening.

Here's another construction set: 7746 Single-Drum Roller from the City theme!

7746_single-drum_roller.png

LXF File

Errors:

  • The mirrors use part 4735 which has a known alignment error. They have been left to the side.
  • Due to a boundary error, the hexagonal plates (64566) will not fit inside the giant wheel piece (55817). They have been left to the side of the model.
  • I couldn't get the minifigure to hold the handlebars of that smoothing machine (don't know what you call it).
  • Stickers are not available as decorations. Any parts that should be decorated with stickers have been left blank.

Why not place the 4735 on the model? I mean, the piece works, and it's not that big of an issue that is slightly misalingned? Or is there a reason why you don't do it?

I'm just pretty OCD about my hinges. Getting clip-and-bar hinges to align right on LDD is hard enough on its own (usually they won't be centered properly unless you create a scaffold). Since I can't exactly create a scaffold for a hinge that is out-of-alignment with the rest of the piece it's on to begin with, I prefer to leave the things incomplete and fix them when the piece in question is repaired in a future version or patch.

Hello everyone, just recently discovered LDD and even managed to make it run on my Linux box (via Wine). So here is my first official set made in LDD:

6851 - Tri-Wheeled Tyrax - Theme: Space, Blacktron II

6851-triwheeled-tyrax.jpg

Download here.

It should be complete, except for the decorations of course. If a part has a wrong color, please tell me and I'll correct it.

Update: Colors of transparent parts corrected.

Update II:Re-checked the .lxf file and original instructions and found following error/modification:

- Brick, Modified 2 x 2 with Pin and No Axle Hole replaced by Brick, Modified 2 x 2 with Pin and Axle Hole.

OK, but please note that there is nothing wrong with the part as such. It is a just a few degrees off, but fully usable since LDD takes up the "slack". It's only if you use it the way privat_lego showed that it is a problem (and that must be very, very rare since no-one saw the problem before private_lego told us)

All the transparent parts should be color 49 Transparent Fluorescent Green (the second option when you hover the cursor over Transparent Green). 311 Transparent Bright Green is a new color for 2010 used in Atlantis sets. Otherwise, great job! Nice to see a set this classic that can be built without errors!

Hello everyone, just recently discovered LDD and even managed to make it run on my Linux box (via Wine).

Hi, welcome to the LDD forum. Cool that you got LDD to run on Linux. Good to know if anyone asks if it's possible in the future.

It does not work 100%, though. Most of the time, the browser on the right panel shows nothing/is just black, and clicking on links there (if there is something) has no effect. Also, the font on the interface (buttons, tool tips, etc.) is difficult to read. Aside from that, it works quite well.

Anyway, here is another one:

6812 - Grid Trekkor - Theme: Space, Blacktron II

6812-grid-trekkor.jpg

Download here.

Errors:

- Plate, Modified 2 x 2 with Wheels White is not available in LDD, replaced them with Plate, Modified 2 x 2 with Wheels Holder and Wheel 8mm D. x 6mm

- The balloon tyres could not be fitted onto the aformentioned replacement.

- No decorations.

I haven't posted anything in a while... but I've made a few. Here's a couple more, hopefully I'll back into the swing of things soon!

First up is:

30051 X-Wing - Theme: Star Wars

Already been posted by ADHO15

lddscreenshot20.png

Download the LXF!

No errors to report here! Mostly just built it because I recently bought a few and thought it was pretty nifty.

Next up, a new one!

7262 TIE Fighter and Y-Wing

lddscreenshot21.png

Download the LXF!

The only errors in this set were substituted prints, and both pilot's helmet are missing.

As a note, this set is not to be confused with the 7150 set of the same name. This was the 2004 (?) Re-release of the set, featuring the new greys and an entirely re-designed TIE Advance, now built in the same modular fashion as the rest of LEGO's TIE fighters.

7262 TIE Fighter and Y-Wing

:oh3::cry_sad:

I thought that was just the same as the other release.

A tip for you: if you add the colours to the astromech's dome, save it and close LDD, when you reopen it, the rings should be all the way round instead of just parts.

That's when you should take your screenshot.

Interesting case. You can see a small fragment of a milimeter difference (circled in blue), causing it not to close. I wonder if this building technique in system or not?

EDIT: To Calabar - I'll delete the picture shortly.
