Aanchir Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Your solution is not at all possible with injection molding.Has any one seen the Technic tracks number 3873 in LDD, if not can they be submitted please and a method of using them. My brother tried to find those once, and they don't seem to be there. Even if they were, of course, it would probably be a hassle to use them, since like rubber bands and string there's nothing actually "attaching" them to the rest of the MOC-- they're just looped around a gear. But I understand your frustration-- I've found plenty of things that would be cool to build if only those tracks were available.

Uhhh, yes it is... Its simple, at the top of the 1x1 brick just under the peg top there can be a little carved out area thats round making the Blue Piece click into place inside the 1x1 piece... Maybe I misunderstand you... Edited June 7, 2010 by NecroViolator
Solidbrick Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I would like to see these pirate ship parts be included. 64645 64651 47404 And this flame/head decoration piece: 64647 thanks.
Aanchir Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Here's one I don't know if anyone's mentioned: this piece. The old version without the technic axle hole is there, but not the new version, and the new version is necessary for building the Fire Brigade set.
Superkalle Posted June 14, 2010 Author Posted June 14, 2010 I keep record of all the wanted bricks and have a dialouge with Lego about this. As soon as I get the list with bricks they are going to add for the next version, I will get back here at the forum and we can have a discussion about it.
Seluryar Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=54701c01 i notice that LDD has the forward section of the aircraft of this size, but i cant seem to find this piece from sets: 3182 and 3184
gael.d Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Hi everybody, I've try to create some models on LDD, but there is a few pieces i can't find (i've got the LDD Universe Theme, found the solution here, thanks !). There is the name and id of the pieces : - 2348b : Glass for Hinge Car Roof 4 x 4 Sunroof with Ridges - 2880 : Hinge Bar 2 & 1/2 with 2 and 3 Fingers on Ends - 2349 : Hinge Car Roof 4 x 4 Sunroof - 2452 : Hinge Plate 1 x 2 with 3 Fingers on Side - 4315 : Hinge Plate 1 x 4 with Car Roof Holder - 4351 : Hinge Tile 1 x 2 with 2 Fingers - 4626 : Hinge Tile 1 x 4 - 3491 : Plate 2 x 5 with Towball Socket I've look in LDD Manager (thanks for that too) and i've found nothing. I also wonder if the printed brick (like http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/3069bp02) can be found somewhere? Thanks a lot !! Gael.

To make it a bit easier for someone to help you, can you please post a link for each part using www.bricklink.com In the meantime, I can help you with the printed brick. If you can't find that print using the Decorations tool, then it's not avaialbe in LDD. Sorry

Brickdoctor Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Definitely need tank treads, but what I want most is a Snowtrooper helmet, then we'll have at least on complete SW 'fig. More print designs would be nice, too. BTW, if you go into the inner bowels of LDD's coding, the entire parts list appears to draw models from the LDraw library. If anyone figures out how to mod more LDraw parts into LDD, I'd love to hear of it.
Superkalle Posted July 4, 2010 Author Posted July 4, 2010 Actually, that print is available. I just used it when building the Shuttle Adventure set. How incredibly embarrasing of me to miss that. Thanks for pointing that out Aanchir. It's good that we are many here at the LDD forum! Definitely need tank treads, but what I want most is a Snowtrooper helmet, then we'll have at least on complete SW 'fig. More print designs would be nice, too. Well, all the part definitions, geometries, boundaries, connectivities, decoration graphics etc are in the DB.lif file. The Ldraw.xml file is only a conversion file that maps data from Ldraw geometries to LDD (for the export/import function). Unfortunately, the import/export doesn't work at all well, but personally, I don't think that matters any more, since LDD now contains so many parts (and more coming in LDD 4)
gael.d Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Hi, Thanks for the answers ! And sorry about making a new post :(. it's too shame for the printed decorations. It miss a lot of print, like from the space themes (Like UFO), or Octan. Too bad. I've repost the list of item, with link on Bricklink - 2348b : Glass for Hinge Car Roof 4 x 4 Sunroof with Ridges - 2880 : Hinge Bar 2 & 1/2 with 2 and 3 Fingers on Ends - 2349 : Hinge Car Roof 4 x 4 Sunroof - 2452 : Hinge Plate 1 x 2 with 3 Fingers on Side - 4315 : Hinge Plate 1 x 4 with Car Roof Holder - 4351 : Hinge Tile 1 x 2 with 2 Fingers - 4626 : Hinge Tile 1 x 4 - 3491 : Plate 2 x 5 with Towball Socket And a new one : - 2443 : Windscreen 4 x 4 x 4 1/3 Helicopter I've also try to locate this kind of plate, used mainly in train station / Harbor, with ni sucess. Thanks for your help ! I think it's hard to find some item in LDD, there no search, and the thumbnails for items are not always quit clear. (i'm sorry for my bad english, i'm french).

It miss a lot of print, like from the space themes (Like UFO), or Octan. Too bad. (i'm sorry for my bad english, i'm french). Pas de problem avec l'anglaise (or something like that) Anyway, I notice that the bricks you want are older bricks, and right now LDD focuses on new/current production bricks. This is also the case for older decorations. But we shall never say never, there are a few older bricks in LDD allready now, so there might be more coming in the next release!

Mace Windu Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I think that we need more animals like an ostrich, camel, and an elephant head! I mean, we have elephant ears but no head!
SpiderSpaceman Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 some I dont think we've mentioned yet: collectible minifigure parts, series 1 & 2 batman/indiana jones guns (bb192, x1608 or 62885, and bb374 for good measure ) 31501: apparently in the 'hogwarts' game - just because I've never seen it before and it took a long time to show up, I mean we needed one of these, right? and 2850, 2851, 2852, 2853, 2854, 32333
Cadder Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 (edited) I can't/don't believe that this part doesn't appear in LDD. It's been around for donkey's yonks and still gets issued in modern sets. If I'm wrong, and it does exist in LDD LU mode, would someone be kind enough to tell me what menu it's under?? Apologies if this has already been mentioned. I needed to use it a couple days ago and got right-royally p***ed that I couldn't find it. Oh! and I wanna see prints on the road baseplates too. And where the hell is the 48x48 baseplate?? Firstly, mind your language there young man (even though I found the right-royally part amusing) I think it's important to understand that LDD LU mode is not an official release, it's just TGL allowing AFOLs to have a peek into and use whatever pieces are in their brick database. The database so far only contains bricks are wanted by either DbM or the Lego Universe game development team. At the moment, they are paying for the LDD bricks, because producing low poly-count bricks for game/LDD purpose does come with a nice price tag (naturally TLG has true vector CAD-drawings of all parts, but that's not the same as the low polygon count models needed for LDD, which on top has to have the connectivity/snap-to functionality added). And don't forget LDD is free to download after all Answering your question, no the 3736 part does not yet exist in LU-mode, but let's hope it will be there eventually, because I miss it too. A lot. And the road baseplates do have prints. Have a look at the decoration tool. (However, there is a not so humourus bug with those decorations unfortunately, that you'll discover). The 48x48 baseplate is not there however as far as I know.
Cadder Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Firstly, mind your language there young man (even though I found the right-royally part amusing) Sorry 'bout that, chief.. ROFL! you're right. Humorous bug indeed.. I was amused - in fact, it elicited a literal LOL out of me OK, let me rephrase: I'd like to see straight and curve baseplates with CORRECT prints - and T-junction baseplates with print. ...and 48x48 baseplates.
Superkalle Posted August 13, 2010 Author Posted August 13, 2010 Sorry 'bout that, chief.. I did self-censor *** tho :) I was thinking more of the hell thing in the end. But no problem seriously. And the donkeys yonks was funny
SpiderSpaceman Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 I'd like to see some of the prince of persia animals and headgear - thinking that helmet would make a good hersheys kiss.
Seluryar Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 SpiderSpaceman, im pretty sure i have seen that very last piece you posted a pic of in LDD under the technic brick thingy icon near the top. one piece i would like to see are minifig hands, i see then used in many creations on flickr and thought it would be nice for micro scale use in ldd
Superkalle Posted August 26, 2010 Author Posted August 26, 2010 one piece i would like to see are minifig hands, i see then used in many creations on flickr and thought it would be nice for micro scale use in ldd This is how the reasoning goes at Lego, and thus at LDD too: Parts that are pre-assembled at the factory are not, and probably never will be, available as separate parts. For example minifig hands are mounted at the LEGO factory and are not supposed to be taken apart (childs safety and all that). So, what about the bottom half of the 2x2 turntables you say (image below) - they have been used as separated parts (for example in the Taj Mahal). Well, if you think carefully they are not mounted from factory, but come as two separate pieces that you have to assemble, and thus are pieces we could actually see in LDD in the future.
Teamxtreemer Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Im kinda new, so i apologise in advance for any rule breaking and Whatnot. Id like A Hell of A Lot of Bionicle Attachable Weapons In other words, A Bionicle Set!
Superkalle Posted September 7, 2010 Author Posted September 7, 2010 Im kinda new, so i apologise in advance for any rule breaking and Whatnot. Id like A Hell of A Lot of Bionicle Attachable Weapons In other words, A Bionicle Set! Welcome to the LDD forum. Some friendly notes: if you're kind of new, its always a good idea to browse the forum and this topic to get a feel for what's been requested earlier. Also, if you request Bionicle (or Hero) parts, you need to be much more specific exactly which part, preferably with a reference to BrickLink. And please remember, this is an AFOL site - no need to use "hell" like you've done (i.e. just to say you want more bionice parts).
