gotoAndLego Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 My Viper Evolution, going from 1970's classic, MK II, MK VII and finally Chief's Stealth Blackbird. Now you need to do the MK1 viper form Caprica. Quote
Shroud Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 That rocks, im a fan of BSG and those are done really well Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 AWESOME selection of Vipers.............of course the original series one is the best ! I'm a BSG purist - 2003/04 series to me was a downward turn - hope still lies in a movie based around the original where Starbuck is male ! And Caprica - please I have not even worried about that series and people wined about SW ep1. Though a mkI would be interesting to see MOC'ed - can't help but think it's a copy of secret WWII plane design from either Germany or Japan. The blackbird I'm not sure about, but how about a raider or all the raider designs - now wait a minute........ The orignial Cylon raider craft were based on human fighter craft......the Caprica mkI doesn't look like a raider at all. Yes, I have a book on the original series that's what I always cross-check my information with. Anyway straying off course - AWESOME work on these Vipers and I'm a conformist! 'kevblee' I'm a conformist! ! Oh, yeah ........So say us all ! Quote
kevblee Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 but how about a raider or all the raider designs Yep, tackled the Classic Cylon Raider already.....and she's huge! The correct scale in fact as she seats all 3 cylons at the controls! Disregard the text on the image. The instruction manual was completed a couple months ago....so that's old news! Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I was think there for a moment that the raider was too big, but then it does have to carry three Cylons on board. Okay, what about a Landram or shuttle ? AWESOME work anyway 'kevblee' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
fred67 Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Awesome job; I'm definitely down with that MkII and VII. Quote
TerranCmdr Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Awesome work man. I don't really know anything about BSG but that dark grey one you have there is freakin' sweet. Quote
kevblee Posted April 30, 2010 Author Posted April 30, 2010 Thanks for the feedback! This one is called NOSE TO NOSE....which some of you BSG fans may recognize. My instructions are available off my site....but not for download. Each manual takes months to produce, as I strive to mimic the official ones as close as possible. Most of the CAD artwork has be cleaned up, and this takes a long time to do....not to mention parts created from the ground up (since not every lego part is available as an ldraw file yet) Anyone who's attempted to create instructions knows what I mean. Here is a sample page of mine from my Buck Rogers Starfighter model: Quote
TerranCmdr Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Your instructions look fantastic. I wouldn't want you to give those away for free. Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 (edited) Did someone say Buck Rogers..........an Earth Defence Starfighter.........goodie ! I want plans ......but then I need a Twiggy and a Hatchet Fighter too ! I'm a conformist! ! Edited May 1, 2010 by lightningtiger Quote
snefroe Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 great work so far! i used to build the old viper too, when i was a kid, not to mention Buck Roger's starfighter. Maybe i'll do that again some day... i guess the only version still missing in your collection would be a ucs Quote
kevblee Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 I think you meant "TWICKI". Not Twiggy. I have not commisioned any 60's mod females to fly my starfighters! and one of Biddi Biddi Buck. thanks to my good buddy Mark for creating these killer figs to fly my Starfighter! Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Ah, Captain William 'Buck' Rogers I see ! Very COOL and as close as you are going to get do customs. I'm a conformist! ! Quote
RustyLego Posted June 16, 2024 Posted June 16, 2024 Nice collection of Vipers and I have to agree with lightningtiger, the original series one is the best Quote
