Unlike Svelte I think it looks like the new nougat color.

Yes, it could be. It's in shadow in the pic which makes it look darker so it is kind of hard to tell

Whatever I say will be wrong, that's the easiest rule

Thanks for the rotated pic, pedro. (Why don't more people think to do that?) That nose section looks awful with the black slopes. Everything else looks rounded and curve-a-licious but this seems oddly out of place and just pixellated and pointy. Surely there must have been a better solution? Would it have killed them to print a few of the longer curved slopes if they wanted the gradation from white to black?

EDIT: While we wait for new pictures I thought I'd roate the photo and see whatit looked like set at a different angle without straining my neck! Obviously the base is still present but it's still very interesting to look at:

Well I Thought that rotating the shuttle picture a little was a great idea, but since I use a Mac I get slightly different results :pir-tongue:

3_10213_space_schuttle.jpg Strange?? 4_10213_space_schuttle.jpg Dang! still not the same!? 5_10213_space_schuttle.jpg oh well i'll just put it back in the box!! 1_10213_space_schuttle.jpg

 OK, I'm convinced at last; Macs are superior!

(Thanks for the extra pics! :sweet: )

For $100 it should have another minifigure or 2.

When LEGO made the "Discovery" theme several years ago the Space Shuttle was Discovery. :classic:

They also had the moon lander and the minifigures said NASA on it, awesome set.

Oh! I think I finally figured it out here is the rotation I was looking for!!

I think many have already seen this, but there's a post on TBB with more high resolution pictures and an official description of the set. It's going to be $100 USD ( $129.99 CAD / 79.99 GBP / 89.99 EUR) and is actually called 10213 Shuttle Adventure. :classic:

EDIT: I called the set 10213 Space Adventure instead of Shuttle Adventure. Oops!

Awesome, 8480 style landing gear mechanism!

Plus, the cell is made out of transparent bricks!

The only problem is there are too much stickers around it...

This looks better and better with each picture.

Can anyone tell from the pictures what torso the camera guy has?

I've updated the first post with all the information we have at this time. :sweet:

nd is actually called 10213 Space Adventure. :classic:

Actually it's not! Thanks just the same though!

This is a brilliant looking set, I'm very tempted to get this, though likely I won't (I know, I may as well be called the King-of-not-Buying it or something) but it's awesome that TLC is revisiting the present-day space design. Those trans-gold cheese sloped make my mouth water :cry_happy:

Batbrick Away!

Thanks for the updated photos Sieggy, and yes, I am aware there's a Lego Shuttle coming out. The satellite is neat, it looks like it would just fit in the cargo hold. While the model looks a bit weak from certain angles, it looks great from front on, which I imagine is what Lego were aiming for.

[*]Take off from the launch pad!

All right... so where is the service tower?

Wow!What a great set!Very great amount of pieces!

It's already retracted. You've just gotta believe...

Well they didn't 100% make it up; here's Adventure at Space Center Houston;

Ah, cool! I've never actually been there. You learn a new thing everyday!

Well I Thought that rotating the shuttle picture a little was a great idea, but since I use a Mac I get slightly different results...

Woah! That's some slick software you've got running on your Mac! I didn't even know there was a Blade Runner style "Enhance!" mode!

Thanks for the extra pics, it's nice to see those all extra details. The satellite is very cool, I love those panels, and it's good to see both Astronauts have a place in the cockpit - just! That booster is looking even more dark orange to me now, it looks great in that colour.

That puts this set at a very reasonable price point. I'm laying off Star Wars purchases for a bit so might very well invest in this.

I would love to know where you saw those... :oh:

Just caught up the latest pictures on Brickshelf - WTF ? AND OMG !!!

It does have an interior - it does have a robot arm - it does.......dam I want one !

This may out sell the GE now when this shuttle is released.

Hope Myers in Oz ends up with this one at Christmas time - Hello Santa !

Oh, by the way those cheese slope pieces I think are trans-smoke/trans-black.

I'm a conformist! everyone ! :sweet:

And now... From Lourinhã, Portugal, PLUG prowdly presents, on its great event BRInCKa 2010...

...the awaited, the desired, the set that has just had its world release (here and in the USA at the same time)...

Isn't it just disgusting that somebody need to reveal pictures of this new set, a day or two before LUGs are joined by LEGO employees in the presentation of it.

Somebody obviously is not able to keep a secret.

Oh, it's just some orange color. :hmpf_bad:

I don't know if I'll buy it now that I've seen better images. :sceptic:

Why not? Orange makes way more sense than bronze, since that's the color real American rockets have for their liquid fuel stage. And dark orange is more useful for MOCing because more parts exist in that color.

I still think this is amazing and a must-have for me. I don't see how the more recent pics fail to do our expectations justice.

I think we'll need a thread for all the gantry/launch tower MOCs folks will make.

I know its not a 747, but I wonder how this set will look perched on 10177.

I'll be buying this set and already have the Dreamliner, so if I don't forget it, I'll put it on top and take a picture of the combination for you :classic:

Sweet.

I'm always concerned that they'll use a fewer number of large pieces, like the nose, tail, and wings from the new town planes, but since they made the curved bay doors from individual pieces I'm very happy.

I'm def buying it.
