The Penguin Posted April 12, 2011 Author Posted April 12, 2011 (edited) It appears that Warner Brothers have registered several domain names: BatmanHush.com BatmanHushGame.com BatmanImposters.com BatmanImpostors.com BatmanKnightFell.com BatmanRedHoods.com Possible DLC with Hush/Red Hood/Imposters? Sounds plausible. Sounds interesting! What's a DLC, BTW? Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Edited April 12, 2011 by The Penguin Quote

Professor Flitwick Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 What's a DLC, BTW? DownLoadable Content. Add-on's to games that can be as small as the Horse Armor in Oblivion, to as large as the 'The Lost and Damned' game packs in Grand Theft Auto IV. Hopefully these will follow the latter's size. Quote

The Penguin Posted April 28, 2011 Author Posted April 28, 2011 New concept art! Well, it looks good, just the way I imagined Gotham Cathedral. Well, it's neither awesome nor poor, just the way it's supposed to be. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote

The Penguin Posted April 29, 2011 Author Posted April 29, 2011 Nice, reminds me of the 1989 film. I wonder if it's fully accessable, I really hope so. Well, as Flitwick said, we've seen some screens depicting Harley in it. As well as some goon-smashing ones there as well. Not to mention that in the "plenty wrong with me" part of the trailer, it seems that the scene takes place in some tower. perhaps it's the bell tower. I'm guessing so; the early encounter with Harley is supposed to take place in the Cathedral. Also, this is a pretty big clue... Um, I never saw that piece. Is it from the game? ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 (edited) Um, I never saw that piece. Is it from the game? ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) It is, though I can't seem to find the page confirming it in my Browser History... EDIT - 29/4/11: Here we are! EDIT 2 - 30/4/11: What with all of the concept art being released, it would seem the Cathedral may have some importance. Note the trademarked Arkhamverse Gargoyles. EDIT 3 - 4/5/11: Penguin appears to have some henchmen: And some light is shed on the Bat-signal (badum-dish!)... The Bat Signal's default position is the primary narrative path to provide you with guidance about where Batman is most needed at any given point. However you can also manually re-locate it to help you navigate your way around Arkham City by moving its position on the game map. The Penguin Posted May 5, 2011 Author Posted May 5, 2011 Thanks for the updates, Flitwick! ) Is it me, or my goons are far better equipped than those of Two-Face? Pff, I guess not every mob in this town can afford to have professionals at his hand! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
The Legonater Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Not sure if any of you have seen it, but if you haven't I'm delighted to show you: link, at 5:04, shows how to get into an easter egg room in the first Arkham game. This room has a lot of stuff on the upcoming game. I thought you might like it. Unfortunetly Stevie, you're a little late... by a good several months! Still, I've never seen it that clear before; the only time I saw it it was really grainy. And apparently there'll be five times as many characters (thats not villains, it's characters. But still, that likely means a hell of a lot more villains regardless!)! And for the lazy, the quote itself: This time around, Gotham City is also filled with five times as many characters, including the caped crusader's classic foes The Joker, The Riddler, Two-Face and Catwoman. Thanks for the news, Flitwick! ) You're always very quick at bringing good news to this thread. ) I'm a bit distressed that they keep hiding all those nice leaked villains. I want to see me in the game! Rumors go that they have a deformed and Burton-like version of Penguin. Please, no! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote

The Penguin Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 Game Director, Sefton Hill: "It takes over 25 hours to complete the main stories in Batman: Arkham City. To keep players engaged for this length of time, not only do the characters and the story need to progress, but the core mechanics of the game they are playing need to change and adapt as well. The side missions in Batman: Arkham City are a good example. We have around 15 hours of story that's off the main path." 40 hours of Batman?! With several hours dedicated to me hopefully? *faints* Good day, ladies and gentlemmen! ) Quote
Miss Kyle Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 40 hours of Batman?! With several hours dedicated to me hopefully? 40 hours is Final Fantasy standard!!! Awesome :D I should get myself an XBox, I think. I don't want to wait to be at my boyfriend's place in the UK to play! Quote

The Penguin Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 (edited) No Arleen Sorkin for AC: here. It's sad, though. No boubt that Tara Strong will pull of the work perfectly (no worse than Batgirl), but it's a shame, really. Taking into account that they stick to BTAS VOs, Sorkin will be missed. It seems, should we see a third game we'll have no Joker and HQ in it, at all. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Edited May 20, 2011 by The Penguin Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Penguin, I do hope this lives up to your expectations... Rocksteady's Dax Ginn sits down with the Australian Sunday Herald and finally spills the beans on The Penguin. Many people had guessed penguin would be featured in the game: one of the early trailers revealed the iceberg lounge, the trendy nightclub owned by Oswald Cobblepot, aka the penguin. He will definitely be one of the big bads you will face, introduced after you solve one of Riddler's puzzles. The first thing Penguin does is order his minions to kill batman, as any self-respected villain would. according to Ginn, putting a slightly different spin on such an established character was one of the highlights for the Rocksteady team. " The way that penguin has always been portrayed is as quite an aristocratic, well-spoken gentleman who's got these twisted delusions of grandeur" he says. "So we've made him a really horrible, nasty piece of work - but still with the delusion of grandeur. He dresses well, but in a poor taste, and we've made him this brutish, brutal guy but also key into collection fascination that hes had through out the years. Quote
Miss Kyle Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 (edited) Someone will be a very happy birdy :D Happy, but with a better taste in clothes, I guess. Edited May 22, 2011 by Miss Kyle Quote
