Mr. Elijah Timms Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) Another idea I had this evening was a Leprechaun. Except your clever Mongol Hunter idea, that is-- throw an old Adventurers sherpa hat on that figure and I'm sold! Edited April 27, 2011 by Mr. Elijah Timms Quote
Nakara Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 ...how about a Sci-Fi soldier, with a Halo-esque gun instead of cartoony Collectible Minifigs ones... We need to have a soldier like this come out officially: That's the reason I LOVED the space police III: their uniforms actually looked like a military!!! Quote

I figured they were, which is why I didn't go with the detailed description. But I didn't want to read through 20+ pages of suggestions to see for sure. Steve Quote

wikke Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Anyone hear any news of a series 6, because it's been a while since we heard something? Quote
Gregorovich Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Anyone hear any news of a series 6, because it's been a while since we heard something? Well if there is going to be a Series 6, they'd be coming out in 2012. I don't think we usually hear about sets arriving the next year until about August at the very earliest. Quote

CopMike Posted May 1, 2011 Author Posted May 1, 2011 Great suggestions everybody ! The ones I don´t think I know wont be done is licensed superheroes and modern soldiers. But if we were to go through this thread and compare the suggestions with the minifig series so far I´m sure we would find interesting stuff ....... ! Quote
Fives Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 The deep sea diver would be epic! That would be way better for the atlantis theme. It reminds me of 20,000 Legues Under the Sea. I can't think of any particular thing in detail, but more female figs and more female hairpieces. If they were to make the new female hair from the POTC line in blonde, I would be very happy. Possibly a Policeman with a more detailed hat and a new flashlight piece. Also a guy in a lion suit! Quote

BTW The Hellboy movies SUCKED Hellboy is Dark Horse, not Marvel... Anyway: Seeing as we had a Baseball player, does that mean we can have a Cricketer? My H2G2 needs some scary aliens and thus I need some Cricket Whites. A Snake Charmer with a basketed Cobra and pipe. Some sort of Superhero of a more generic variety An 80s styled Keytar player, in classic a Synth-pop look. Quote
BudhaBoss Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 (edited) I would like to see more fantasy figs: Orcs Dwarves (one is in series 5, but more variations would be cool) More Egypt themed figs (like Anubis, Ra). What about some other creatures - Draconians (are they licensed?), drows, hobbits? Medieval knights (the old ones and also new print) I do not think we can expect any licensed figs (like Spidey, SW or HP, nor Pirates of Carribean), yet SW would be great to increase the army (no, 35 sets 7667 did not give me enough soldiers). Mr. Elijah Timms Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 (edited) Great suggestions everybody ! ...But if we were to go through this thread and compare the suggestions with the minifig series so far I´m sure we would find interesting stuff ....... ! I actually did exactly as you suggested waaaay back in February, compiling a list with all figs starting in Series 3 and up to Series 5, and looking through the entire thread to see not only who may have suggested each of these ideas, but also who suggested them first. I even listed what page of this thread it appears, and in what month. Yes, lots of work. The results are interesting to say the least: After looking at this new series (which I love, again, btw), I couldn't help but wonder how many of these ideas were originally discussed/requested on CopMike's "What Minifigs are we missing" thread. Obviously it's ridiculous to assume that TLG is directly taking these ideas just from our requests, since many of the figures produced are general ideas that anyone can think up, and additionally we must remember that TLG pays creative people well to just sit around and think of these ideas. So I'm sure their own list probably dwarfs ours. But, with that being said, I found myself wondering how many of these new figs actually were mentioned during the history of that thread, which began in May 2010 when Series 1 began (let's recall that at that point we'd already seen prelims of Series 2 as well). SO, I've put together a list which records what EB member suggested each figure concept first, chronologically, from Series 5. Throughout that entire thread there's a tremendous amount of re-mentioning ideas already listed by another member (I should know, I thought the Holmes idea was mine!), so if you aren't listed as the originator of the suggestion, it means someone originally beat you to it earlier in the thread. Also listed is what page of the thread the entry was first suggested, as well as a month and year. As I suspected, we didn't mirror all of their ideas: Series 5 1.‘Sherlock Holmes’ Detective: Dr. Kilroy –Pg01, May10 2.British Royal Guard: Dunjohn—Pg02, May10 3.Eskimo: Athos—Pg02, May10 4.Lumberjack: Athos—Pg02, May10 5.Gladiator: Fluyt—Pg03, May10 6.Mafioso: Lego Wargammer—Pg04, May10 7.Snowboarder: Jonwil—Pg05, May10 8.Cleopatra: Zzz—Pg06, May10 9.Graduate: Dfenz—Pg06, May10 10.Dwarf: Mo123567—Pg12, Dec10 11.Boxer: Lord Embo—Pg12, Dec10 *Lomogi asked for any fig with a bowler’s hat, so I guess an honorable mention for the clown technically applies—Pg02, May10 Also, for the sake of reference and credit, here's the same treatment for Series 4 and 3: Series 4 1.Footballer: Prateek –Pg01, May10 2.Hockey Player: Ratshot –Pg01, May10 3.Sailor: Ratshot—Pg01, May10 4.Mad Scientist: Mr. Elijah Timms—Pg01, May10 5.Rockstar (didn’t actually say Mohawk): Peppermint_M—Pg01, May10 6.Musketeer: Athos—Pg02, May10 7.Artist: Jonwil—Pg02, May10 8.Frankenstein’s Monster: Computer Bug—Pg02, May10 9.Geisha: Dunjohn—Pg03, May10 10.Viking (first to really say ‘viking’ and not barbarian): blueandwhite—Pg03, May10 11.Hazmat Suit Guy: Lego Wargammer—Pg03, May10 12.Garden Gnome: Dharkan—Pg06, May10 (indianajones suggested the fishing pole) 13.Werewolf: indianajones—Pg06, May10 Series 3 1.Race Car Driver: Toa_of_Justice –Pg01, May10 2.Pilot: Ratshot—Pg01, May10 3.Baseball Player: Athos—Pg02, May10 4.Hula Girl: Athos—Pg02, May10 5.Samurai: Fluyt—Pg02, May10 6.Tennis Player: Dunjohn --Pg02, May10 7.Vampire: Aredhel—Pg04, May10 8.Gorilla Suit: Mr. Elijah Timms—Pg04, May10 9.Tribal Chief: Klaus-Dieter—Pg04, May10 10.Elf (he said ‘Elfknight’): Elander—Pg05, May10 11.Blacktron Astronaut: Dunjohn—Pg05, May10 12.Fisherman: Aanchir—Pg06, May10 13.Female Snowboarder: SilentMode—Pg07, Jun10 So yes, I think most of this is coincidental, but it's still pretty crazy to see how many of the existing figs have already been listed. Sorry for originally putting this post in the Series 5 discussion and not here, where it really belongs... Edited June 2, 2011 by Mr. Elijah Timms Quote
