1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 I would like to see some more classic characters from literature and films. Something like Don Quixote, Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, Captain Nemo, the Invisible Man (with clothes, just a transparent head with bandages and sunglasses), maybe even Watson since we've already got a detective... Oh, and a scientist more like good ol' Einstein. That would be cool. Sometimes I wish Lego released historical minifigures. I, for one, would love a Chaplin little tramp minifigure. But that of course is not the focus of this theme. Quote

alex54 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 After looking at this new series (which I love, again, btw), I couldn't help but wonder how many of these ideas were originally discussed/requested on CopMike's "What Minifigs are we missing" thread. Obviously it's ridiculous to assume that TLG is directly taking these ideas just from our requests, since many of the figures produced are general ideas that anyone can think up, and additionally we must remember that TLG pays creative people well to just sit around and think of these ideas. So I'm sure their own list probably dwarfs ours. ... So we've gotten many of their ideas right, but several of our other requests have still yet to be produced...Series 6 perhaps? Judging by what I've read through, it seems like the most popular ideas we discussed that TLG have yet to make include: a monk, a judge, a chimney sweep (now in the historical figures set), a highlander warrior, a hippie (m or f), a gardener, a scarecrow, and millions of other ideas that did not meet a large consensus. Either way, it was interesting to study. We'll see what happens... I think that your're right here. When you ask people to describe what minifigs they would like to see, they come with stereotype kind of figs. As examples, just take a look here : In this post, Tanotrooper has drawn a musketeer minifig. And we have one in series 4, which is closer to this draw. In this post, I have drawn a scientist, which appears in series 4, and looks like the draw too : same hair, with glasses, the flask, the white blouse. I don't think that TLC takes our draws and makes them come true. We have the same vision of what a musketeer or a mad scientist looks like. But it's really funny to see that those stereotypes of typical minifigures are universal. Quote

Oky Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Looking at the Genie, I think it's time for a new ghost! It could have the genie's tail in white, a new, more pointy ghost headgear, and maybe the short Ninjago chains. Also, a mermaid would be nice, one that uses the PotC fish tail, has new torso print, and hair with clams or sea stars or algae printed on it, kinda like the new Poison Ivy! Quote

1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 A white pointy headgear is not really very tasteful. expecially when it has eye holes. True . I'm pretty sure that if this goes on at least until S8 we'll get a new ghost. After all, it's been a while since we get a horror figure. (Considering there are none in 6, unless of course you count the alien). Quote

Jargo Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 This guy. From the restyled www.lego.com website. He has to have the same hair, the headset, the carrier bag as a moulded accessory not a printed or stickered brick built thing and have the exact torso print with the Lego logo printed on the back. He's just the most awesome minifig ever created. EVER! Lego need to release him as a CMF.  Quote

wikke Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 (edited) The new pictures of series 6 & 7 are awesome, so I started thinking of a superb series 8 (for me that is) And I'm under the impression that a lot of the propositions that were made on this site made it to those new series... so who knows... 1. Medieval Monk (with robe, book/cross & tonsure) 2. Maori Warrior (with tattoos, spear & shield) 3. Pigmee Warrior (with spear & shield) 4. Fencer (with mask & sword) 5. Torero (with hat & bandillero's) 6. Olympic Torch Runner (with torch, Olympic games in London next year) 7. Policeman (full riot gear) 8. SA Dictator (with uniform & cigar) 9. Fakir (with turban and a bed of nails) 10. Mariachi (with hat & guitar) 11. End of the world prophet (with a board & long beard) 12. Boy Scout (with uniform) 13. Grim Reaper (with cape & scythe) 14. Chinese Terracotta Warrior (with spear) 15. Tin Soldier (with Gun, hat & backpack 16. Chain gang prisoner (with striped outfit & chain) thx ;-) Edited October 17, 2011 by wikke Quote

How would the chain gang prisoner be different than the prisoner in every police set? This also seems unlikely from the lack of sports minifigs. Edited October 19, 2011 by Sid Sidious Quote

Inspecter Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Well since series 7 brought the bagpiper (which I am very happy about) Lego still needs to do the lederhosen man. He can come with a link of sausages and a pretzel as well as a new tyrolean hat mold. The tyrolean better be a new mold instead of the forest man hat since both are different hats. Quote

Roman Emperor, with his wreath upon his head, possibly a scroll in hand. 3. Monk, with robe with hood down and distinctive monk hairpiece, carrying a 'wee willie winkie' candle holder or candleabra and book. 4.
