sok117 Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Dont forget the passionate kiss between Anakin and Padme, in I think Hostage crisis, but it may be senate spy. An there was that alien kiss between those two aliens in ziros club behinf that pole that is very breifly seen. All and All there have been a lot of "kissing" scenes, and I don't think that they really needed to cut this one out, though it is EXTREMELY creepy. Quote

Oky Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Yeah, but all these kisses were kisses between two people who have an affair with each other, so they're ompletely natural. However, there's nothing natural about somebody kissing someone they have just met and fatally impaled with a weapon. Quote

Oky Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 (edited) The webcomic for the new season has begun! It connects right to the last one. By the way, did anyone watch MAD last night? It had a hilarious (though rather silly) parody of The Clone Wars! Check the CN website for it next week! Edited September 17, 2010 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Thanks for sharing Oky. The green jedi master looks cool (and hot at the same time) . Upon a quick search at Wookieepedia, you just gave me another idea for a project. Thanks a lot! Quote

Upon a quick search at Wookieepedia, you just gave me another idea for a project. Thanks a lot! No problem. Let me guess - You want to recreate her starfighter? Yeah, I like her too, even if she's a bit strict. I'm looking for a cheap Poison Ivy head on bricklink so that I can make a minifig of her. So, are you saying you haven't read any of the webcomics yet? You really should! They're better than the show itself! That video (which is not a trailer, but an excerpt) was already posted two pages ago, along with one from "ARC Troopers". And that scene by the end of that CW Answers video is a scene from "Dutchess of Mandalore". But we did see Ahsoka fighting some Mandalorian guards in one of the trailers, and the whole Mandalore Plot story arc was never really resolved, so I think a return of the DW is quite possible. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Still, I hope it's in the extended scenes when the season comes out. I don't. I'm not going to buy any Clone Wars DVD anyways. Quote

sok117 Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 AHHHH, Just saw the new episodes and let me tell you one thing, They were awesome! They were really telling the truth when they said these things were "truly cinematic". Pure awesomeness. My favorite of the two was ARC troopers, though clone cadets was not far behind at all. Best parts include the invasion, using the debris to house their attack ships, seeing the squids crush guys like in pirates of the Caribbean! any part where an ARC was visible, the death of Commander Colt, I think that was his name. Seeing the aqua droids was pretty cool too, and when the cadets popped out of the bunkies, awesome! And when 99 died, I nearly cried, that guy was really cool. Cadets was cool and dark at some points, Bric was a little bit of a hard megablocks drill Sargent, whereas the other guy, (I think someone called him alice?)was like the Mom. Made for a really good story, the training room was really cool to, and I think I know why they called them Domino squadron, because if one falls down, they all fall down. Really awesome, and I'm literally dieing for next weeks episode. P.s. Fives and Echo get promoted, maybe we see them later with ARC armor Quote
Sam Vimes Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 @Sok do not die then this forum will have one less SWCLW Fan on here. Quote
Forresto Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 (edited) Well these were amazing! I love how "Cadets" is a prequel to "Rookies" and the fact that they really delved more into what Kamino and training is like. The Kaminoans are pretty messed up implying that they would kill Domino squad unlike the Jedi. Bric was interesting but pretty awesome as a drill seargent. Clone 99 was just too cool for words. He is awesome and I almost, almost cried when he died. He truly was one them. Grievous finally has been prtrayed as non-cowardly and competant commander for the first time! Finally Also I think that Ventress kissing the ARC should have been kept in since it really added to her....evilness. My only problem with both episodes is the fact that ARC troopers can be promoted from regular clones rather then being geneticlly made that way. Edited September 18, 2010 by Forresto Quote
Artanis I Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I don't. I'm not going to buy any Clone Wars DVD anyways. I recently bought season 1 on Blu Ray, after buying a drive to play them ages ago. Looks really good... I was hoping season 2 would be released on disc before season 3 started (so I could watch it in full quality - as opposed to *ahem* dl version) but unfortunately not. Still tossing up as to whether I'll wait until I have the season 2 discs (next month) before watching the new episodes. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 So, are you saying you haven't read any of the webcomics yet? You really should! They're better than the show itself! I haven't yet, but I will now since you recommended it. I'll take your word for it. ----- Anyways, I just saw the Season 3 premiere, and I agree with Forresto it's not as bad as we thought it to be. How I wish I had a huge HD flatscreen to fully appreciate the cinematic graphics of the two episodes. The siege on Kamino is well-conceptualized IMO, and my most favorite part of the premiere. That's all I could say for now without giving out spoilers. Quote
Corvus Posted September 18, 2010 Author Posted September 18, 2010 As a whole, the quality of the episodes was much better than the last two seasons. Clone Cadets: First thing I noticed was the increase in quality. Most of them were little things. The mouth movements were less stiff, as well as the body movements. I don't know why, but even the way the sleeves rustled in their fatigues stood out- they just didn't do that before. And of course, were the big things- Kamino looked great. The CW does do a great job with the beautiful scenery. I liked this episode. The dialogue was great, the storyline was great. Now on to some of the questions I had running through my head: 1) Why are they training in 5-man squads? These are troopers, remember. They should be fighting in platoons. I suppose it fits with the scale of the show, though. 2) ARC troopers don't just 'get promoted', like giving medals to exceptional troops. True, they're all the same clone. But, the training of an ARC is so much more different. These guys were trained to be one-man armies. By Jango Fett. Personally. The two sergeants were neat. Bric was interesting... he added some depth to the show. Still, not nearly as cool as Vau, though, who probably would have done a lot more than just punching Cut-up in the stomach. I also liked the score for it. Fairly reminiscent of certain war films. ARC Troopers: I liked this episode slightly less. It seemed rushed, and they were just fast-forwarding through the battle. Plus it re-visited some of the old complaints I had about Grievous. I have to say, though, I was really disappointed by the ARC troopers. These guys are supposed to be death on two legs. Even though the ARCs in the animated CW were over-powered, we still come with a certain expectation of these guys being awesome. And yet, they just seemed to be stand-ins. They just died so the main characters didn't have to. That said, everything else was neat. I liked the battle between Asajj and Anakin. The choreography seemed better than previous episodes. Still, her line "Not this time" caused me to roll my eyes. Grievous said the same thing in Duel of the Droids, upon having his station blown up for the very first time. 99's death was sad. He tried, he really did. At the end, though, the battle just...fizzled. Not what we'd expect for an invasion of Kamino. Oh, and the promotion to ARC troopers. I'm all for clones being able to rise to the challenge, but this just blurs the lines too much between the regular troops and special forces. Oh, and where were the instructors that entire time? Quote
Oky Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Yes, these episodes were pretty amazing. Cadets was good, a very nice insight on the training of clones, around the league of Rookies. ARC Troopers was great! Very good lightsaber duels, battles, and cinematography. My only complaints are that Grievous once again failed to kill anyone (although, for the first time, I liked how he escaped since he proved that it comes in handy to be a four-armed cyborg), and that this episode called "ARC Troopers" could have had better (or at least more) action from the real ARC Troopers. Oh well, they still managed to keep their promise of this being a big step-up from the last season. It's hard to believe they'll keep their promise with the next episode, what with the old concepts and Jar Jar and all, but we'll see. Quote
DarthSion Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Do we really need spoilers, if you haven't watched it then don't read the thread. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, oh not 99, get us to like him, then bam kill him like that, at least he died with honour, was nice 5s? holding his body at the end. Actually got me to tears, i like him, but then i guess its what they want isn't it, us to feel for them not just see them as mindless drones. Think in the end everyone can be happy, common sense the Jedi wouldn't let the clones be killed, and the Kaminoans were shown as heartless, and in the end it was a 3 part arc. Was interesting to see Kamino and the barracks, the start was like WTF Jedi let bounty hunters train clones. I wants an ARC trooper lego mini figure. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 (edited) Is my assumption correct about the chronology of these episodes: 1. Clone Cadets (Season 3) 2. Rookies (Season 1 ) 3. ARC Troopers (Season 3) Am I right? I just want to confirm. Edited September 18, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote
DarthSion Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 (edited) Yes 301 was pre season 1 rookies, 302 was just after rookies. Like they did with the battle of Christphsis which was set before the movie. Edited September 18, 2010 by DarthSion Quote
