commdr_neyo Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 (edited) Look at my above post. I know, but I was asking if any has the clip, maybe on Youtube, or something. EDIT: Just found a like to the preview of the newest episode . Edited October 4, 2010 by commdr_neyo Quote
Corvus Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 Yeah, I think the whole Aurebesh thing got started with the PT, and back when they were doing the OT, they thought it would be cool to name Yeah, but he's a Senator, and not a character we have only seen speaking his native language up until now. Though I can understand why they did this. Subtitles may work in movies, but not on kids-oriented TV shows. Well, it's more a matter of ability. His mouth is a tube. We can't expect every species to be able to speak Basic. EDIT: Just found a like to the preview of the newest episode . Thanks! Hmm. We'll see how this works. Personally I'm hoping for Mandalore to fall so we can have the real Mandos back. By the way, not very pacifistic for those guards with the flamethrowers, now is it? Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 But how about the Clone Wars Y-Wing. I'm pretty sure someone called it a Y-Wing. Anakin and/or Ahsoka said "Y-wing." Quote
sok117 Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I know, but I was asking if any has the clip, maybe on Youtube, or something. EDIT: Just found a like to the preview of the newest episode . Hey thanks a lot for the link. Looks okay. I'm glad to see gotal's there was one in the last episode, hope they can fight. I kinda wish we saw death watch though. Quote
Forresto Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I honestly think that this next episode looks kind've meh to me. It just seems like a combo of the phantom menace and the Mandolore trilogy minus Death Watch and jedi. I love the poiticol episodes but my problem is that they're too simple. There's not much complexity to any of them and they are pretty pridictable. I know it's a kid's show but too and if you have to do a political episode, do it right. Heck TPM had a lot of polotics in it. Quote

The Legonater Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 what do you mean by "right"? Mind explaining on what you think would be the ideal political episode? Well, like the Forresto said- not as predictable, and more complex. Not just simple arguments. Quote
prateek Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Well, like the Forresto said- not as predictable, and more complex. Not just simple arguments. Yea, like some hardcore corruption, not just giving someone money to do something. Quote
sok117 Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I guess, but it's only a 22 minute show, so there stories can't be too detailed. Quote
-JD- Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 The arguements are 'meh' compared to the stupid lines they give the characters IN EVERY SINGLE EPISODE! Some examples... "Just on time!" - Anankin "What would you do without me?" - Ahsoka (ironic, eh?) "Oh Anakin, stop trying to be a rebel and listen to me!" - Obi Wan ...and the list goes on and on! /rant Wow. I need a chill-pill. Quote
Corvus Posted October 6, 2010 Author Posted October 6, 2010 Wow. I need a chill-pill. Perfectly fine. The one-liners in the CW are terrible. Quote
prateek Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Perfectly fine. The one-liners in the CW are terrible. They do one-liners so the kids that watch remember what the characters say so they run around shouting out random lines. Lots of other kids shows do this too. Quote

Forresto Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Here's my super easy simple/complicated political plot line. approx. 22 minutes -2 minutes: Republic ambassadors(preferably new characters)travel to a newly discovered world on a main Republic supply line that is rich with the materials used in blaster production. -3 minutes: they land and discover that negotiations with the separatists have already taken place. -3 minutes: the separatists have much more to offer and would probably be better for the planet's needs. Planet's representative is wary to ally with The Republic due to the use of raw ores for weapons production. Seppies have promised that they would not ask for the raw materials (they have enough in surplus and enough of it on other worlds, planet is prized more for it's strategic position.) -2 minutes: ambassadors finds out from Republic cruisers that a rogue comet is on it's way to a collision with said planet. -3 minutes: Seperatists give forged evidence that the Republic has altered the regular course of the comet to purposely hit the planet. Ambassadors are arrested and put in the prison on the other side of the city. -4 minutes: The main Ambassador talks his way through the jailer and escapes when the other uses a judo chop. They get out and are chased through the city to where they return to the capitol building. -3 minutes: The Ambassadors burst in right when the final agreements between the seperatists and the planet are being made. They are then captured by a pair of SBDs and the seperatist reperesentive prepares to order them to shoot the ambassadors. -2 minutes: A squad of Republic Commandos (maybe Omega )and are bringing evidence of Separatist tampering. They had been following the ambassadors the whole time and had just received the evidence. The Separatist representative, angry and dishonored storms out with BDs. At the end the planet's representative finally sits down to proper negotiations with the Republic. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 (edited) Sounds good to me, but I'd prefer aggressive negotiations. Ones that involve expeditionary battle planetoids. EDIT: and some good one-liners, like "Get this walking carpet out of my way!" I know ehh! They should opt for a 1-hour time frame. Which basically comes back down to 45 minutes after commercials. ADHO15 Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Here's my super easy simple/complicated political plot line. That sounds just like a combination of 'Sphere of Influence' and 'Bombad Jedi'. It doesn't seem much different at all to what we've already seen: Republic and Separatists fighting for a planet They each cast blame on each other Separatists seem to come out on top Republic are feeling sorry for themselves Suddenly Republic get some kind of inspiration Another Republic victory and yet another CIS loss. Darth Jar Jar Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 The episode guide and a new preview for the new episode corruption is up heres the link for the preview http://starwars.com/video/view/001119.html Poisoning children Quote
Oky Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 New webcomic is up too. http://starwars.com/video/view/001119.html Right. Investigate. With flamethrowers. Poisoning children We've already seen hundreds of unborn clones die. How bad can the poisoning of a couple of Mando kids be? Quote

The Legonater Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 EDIT: and some good one-liners, like "Get this walking carpet out of my way!" Yeah, the OT was the best for one-liners. Filoni and his team should really try harder for their humur, it's really lame. Personally, I'd like to see a good 'in the asteroid belt' kinda battle. Quote
