DarthSion Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Oh who cares, the episodes sa-diddly-uk, but were still going to watch them no matter the order, because everyone wants to see about Savaage and the night sisters, and because you like the show. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Oh who cares, the episodes sa-diddly-uk, but were still going to watch them no matter the order, because everyone wants to see about Savaage and the night sisters, and because you like the show. You're actually right about that, no matter how lame these episodes are, I'm pretty sure people will still keep watching, not because they like how the series is going so far, but hoping there will be "light at the end of the tunnel". Ah, I seriously hope the next Aurra episode will get Season 3 back on track. Quote
DarthSion Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Things will get better eventually, I mean its not like BSG where they just made it up as they went. Quote
Darth Jar Jar Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Im so angry I tunes won't put up the episode Quote
DarthSion Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 So take the money you spend on ifade and buy a hotfile account like everyone else. Quote
sok117 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 No, but your interpretation of the final dialogue fits pretty nicely. I got more a Harry Potter vibe from it, which is apparently what they were going for. I thought the episode was alright, or at least better than the last one. It was more serious than I expected, and Ahsoka seemed quite competent in it, even though her plan to leave the uncovering of a major government corruption to a bunch of students was indeed as ridiculously risky as Anakin made it sound. I mean, why didn't she and Satine just go and get the evidence themselves instead of putting the kids' safety at risk? Also, as I said before, it didn't surprise me at all that Almec was behind all of this. I agree that we have seen enough of Mandalore for now. It's time to move on, unless Death Watch is about to do something really badass. Next episode does look promising, so here's hoping that this season is finally going to get good. I only associate HP when people are using magic, no matter what the circumstances are really. But after watching the commentary, I see how they did that. And I agree with what you are saying, Mandalore without death-watch is like pie without sweetner, it just shouldn't be done. A meh episode in my book. The dialogue, one of my main concerns, was all right, but the plot was lacking. So...if Satine suspected this, why didn't she just check the government warehouses? This would've been a good episode for a costume change for Ahsoka. Her outfit is hardly fitting for a teaching position. Seems the kids could get a little...distracted, seeing as they are roughly the same age. At least put on a robe or something. It's Ashoka, as in little twerp Ashoka, and besides she doesn't have much to offer anyways so I don't see how that would really be a problem. And I kept thinking she was younger then them. But I agree, she should wear a robe like shak ti. just wait. Like I said, they put all the bad episodes towards the beginning to keep people watching. Doesn't make sense but for godsakes I hope your right! Funny, since wen I was watching the episode online, a Scooby-Doo mini-advisory keeps popping up at the bottom of the screen. Yeah, it was a meh episode, glad those Mandalorian episodes are over. Looks like next one will be exciting, I hope it won't disappoint. Looking forward to a great fight scene between Ahsoka and Aurra to somehow make-up for an expected lame story. I think I got one of those too, I must of associated it subliminally, weired , I honestly don't think the Aurra line will be that good, I don't really like her part in the CW, she was much better as a background character IMHO. Oh who cares, the episodes sa-diddly-uk, but were still going to watch them no matter the order, because everyone wants to see about Savaage and the night sisters, and because you like the show. It's sad , cause it's true Things will get better eventually, I mean its not like BSG where they just made it up as they went. I have no idea what that is Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 The episode was better than the last one, but yeah.. still not particularly interesting. I do get the feeling they're just trying to set up Mandalore and the characters there for something later in the series though. Likely a big battle with Death Watch, so I can forgive them for these two dull episodes if it has a decent pay off down the road. The next episode also starts the Ahsoka visions/Night sisters plot, so things should get better from here. I did like Ahsoka's development in this episode though, once again showed her growing up a little and how far she's come from the happy-go-lucky Mary Su from the movie. I'm surprised a lot of fans are completely unwilling to forgive her. The only point I agree with here is that her costume definitely seemed a little inappropriate for teaching. She may as well have been wearing a bikini. When the series originally started, the animation was pretty bad and they didn't really have the budget to do anything like robes. But now we've seen everything improve so much and characters like Shaak-ti who DO wear robes, it'd be nice to see them update her look a little. Might help to push the fact that she's a little more grown up now too. Quote
Forresto Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Doesn't make sense but for godsakes I hope your right! I have no idea what that is Well if you put your really good episodes toward the end and your bad ones toward the beginning, then people will stay and watch to see the good ones. THat way they don't have people jumping boat when a whole lot of bad episodes towards the end. BSG= Battle Star Galactica Quote

djmangunz Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Please, please, no more politics. I don't see why they think the political storyline will work with a show targeted towards 6-12 boys. That is the whole reason that the prequels were lacking was that Lucas was pushing the political and romantic storyline. That's not what the universe of Star Wars is about. It is about laser swords and fast space ships and blowing planets up. Quote

If this is the case, hopefully this means that the action and darkness of it will be amped up. Quote

She's less rebellious, less impertinent, less hotheaded... and it's only been a short time. Anakin was already padawan for 10 years before we even saw his terrible display of immaturity in episode 2. Corvus Posted October 20, 2010 Author Posted October 20, 2010 Uh oh. Everybody get ready for...Aurra Sing retconning time! According to the article, there's a "history that hasn't been told," and that it's up to George Lucas and Dave Filoni. Which pretty much means that George is going to completely disregard anything that's previously existed about her. Quote

Still no update of the webcomic. What do you mean by get over it. Not a very good role model,(her clothes are the closest thing you can have in Star Wars to a bikini) complains like heck, and needs jedi robes. I know about how they did not have enough money to give her correct robes but now... She is pretty kick-a$$, though, especially in The Academy. As long as she dies in TCW... Quote

Balrog Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 I didn't even realize, that season 3 has already started. Directly watched the first 3 episodes yesterday. And perhaps I will be able to discuss tomorrow when I am up to date ;) Quote

Yep, they've already said her Jedi backstory is being completely disregarded for being mind numblingly generic. Whenever there's a popular character in the EU they ALWAYS have to become more important and ALWAYS have some kind of Jedi history. It's tedious, and not cool. She's a much more interesting character just being the awesome Bounty Hunter rather than another fallen Jedi. I do agree that changing some things in the CW have been uncessesary, but this is one point I definitely agree with the producers. Make her a Jedi and you turn her into an almost exact clone of Asajj Ventress, what's the point? Quote
