What do you mean by get over it. Not a very good role model,(her clothes are the closest thing you can have in Star Wars to a bikini) complains like heck, and needs jedi robes. I know about how they did not have enough money to give her correct robes but now... She is pretty kick-a$$, though, especially in The Academy. As long as she dies in TCW... pirate_thumbup.gif

I don't really get the rant about Ahsoka (and her clothes, or lack of thereof). Clothes don't make a jedi. Maybe you could tell that to Aayla too, who is a Jedi Master. And regarding her personality, I actually like her spunk, and she has shown she has controlled this attitude and slowly maturing as the current series go by.

Oh and I like it when the CW team makes Ahsoka more kick-a$$ in the series (like single-handedly downing the Slave I). If ever she'll die, I wanted it to be a great sacrifice of some sort - so as to slap the faces of all Ahsoka-haterz. default_tong.gif

How come everyone disagrees with my view of Ahsoka? Is it me?

I'm pretty sure there are a lot of other Ahsoka-haters here to comfort you. default_tong.gif Maybe it's because you guys are quick to judge Ahsoka without 'giving her a chance'. And the reasons for hating her (or getting annoyed by her) are pretty lame IMO (skimpy outfit? corny jokes? whiner? punk-kid attitude?) C'mon guys, loosen up a bit and cut Ahsoka some slack! default_laugh_new.gif

Good question. I'd like to know that too, although I know that some Antisokas (as I like to call them) will argue that Anakin shouldn't even have an apprentice at this point, but then again, he is not even supposed to be Jedi in the first place and yet he is, so that would be a lame argument too.

That's, like, the main sub-plot of the entire series.

I would argue that Anakin shouldn't have a Padawan because she wasn't mentioned at all in Episode III. She was thrown in as an afterthought. Lucas went up to Filoni, said, "I want Anakin to have a Padawan.

She'd probably be Knighted or killed before then. What, was Anakin supposed to mention her at some random point in it? There were a lot more important things going on then, if you haven't noticed. Anakin met a lot of Jedi before then, and he didn't metion them. :sceptic:

If Darth Maul wasn't going to be mentioned, I don't thing Ahsoka would have.

My point is that she's an add-on. She's been chucked into the plot. But, she's also Anakin's Padawan. Anakin gets extremely attached to his friends- how do you think the death of his Padawan would affect him?

If Ahsoka had been pre-planned, and shown, even just one of many Jedi dying in the Order 66 montage, then it would be fine by me- similar to the way that the Clone Wars was only hinted at in Episode IV.

So, I suppose my gripe with her is also one of continuity.

I think it has pretty much been established that Ahsoka's character is obviously an add-on (and everything else about the CW series/cartoon for that matter). How the CW team will fit her in the continuity is the challenge, and so far, I think they're doing a decent job abouut that. CallMePie does make a good point that not mentioning Ahsoka in RoTS is acceptable. Lots of war happening in RoTS, and Anakin and the rest of the jedi don't have much time talking about her ex-padawan. If ever Ahsoka did die or fall into an unfortunate incident before Ep. III, yeah it would definitely affect Anakin (it just makes him closer to the dark side), but do we expect Anakin to grieve/cry like a baby while he was fighting the hell out of the separatists (and eventually Obi-Wan) in RoTS?

I'm just curious too see what Dave Filoni does with Ahsoka's character. Since RoTS is coming out in 3D in 2014 (I think) maybe they would add a few scenes, maybe Ahsoka's death in Order 66.

Yeah, it would really be interesting to find out what will be the fate of Ahsoka. The possibilities are endless. Obviously Antisokas (as Oky calls them) would like her dead asap in the series, or she could become a Knight, die either in the series or in Order 66, or could even live beyond that. I would personally want the CW team to give her a martyric death in the series, a death so painful to Anakin that he couldn't even mention her name in RoTS. See, Ahsoka's character ain't that bad, she serves a purpose, and her fate could eventually become a very important fuel for Anakin's Dark Side tendencies.

Even though I'm an Antisoka, I agreed about her death sequence being epic. I think she will after seeing Cad Bane battle Obi-Wan with a green lightsaber. I think Cad may be responsible for Ahsokas death.

This Season 3? I highly doubt it. Since the series is not bound to end soon, I'd think if ever they'll kill Ahsoka's character it'll be on one of the last few episodes of the entire series, with the events just leading up to RoTS.

I agree. Killing off a major charecter like that this early in the series will just be strange.

I just saw The Academy. It wasn't too bad. I especially liked the no-lightsaber jedi combat. But what I found funny was that the cadets Ahsoka was teaching were taller than her.

Take another look at the Season 3 trailer. I'm pretty sure I saw a scene like that. (You just have to disagree about everything with me, kieldaman).

What are you referring to? The 'lightsaber duel' between Obi and Bane? Yes, I saw that one before. But a scene with Ahsoka getting killed? I don't think so, because it won't happen this Season 3, maybe in the very last episodes of the entire series, but not this early. I maybe wrong, but simple logic leads me to believe it ain't happening yet.

And Nah, I do not completely disagree with all your views, just doubting some of them.

Just saw it. I'm dissapointed. All that cool 'Ahsoka has visions of someone dying' got crammed into one episode. And it was only kinda decent.

Didn't see the first 3 minutes. Jumped into when she's in the library. Her crazy paranoia was kind of funny though. The first attempt was actually not bad. She wasn't fast enough to completely protect Padme from harm. However, the 20 foot chase failed. Aurra didn't even get one shot at her. Her new suit was awesome, though.

The second attempt was...better. I assumed the first time we didn't see Padme's face it was a decoy, but didn't think it'd be a luxury droid. That was cool. However, I'm sure the front row people would've seen. Anyway, the confrontation was okay. I'm glad to see that Jedi can't block everything. Captain Typho's occasional appearances were cool. He should've been in charge of Coruscant security, not Sergeant Giant Forhead McNasal Voice.

The end was surprising. I thought Ahsoka had seen the Dathomir Rancors or something, but gave myself a facepalm when Ziro got shown. But I didn't like his appearance. I thought he'd be dead or something because Jabba paid Bane to break him out. How the hell did he get back in? Then again, this season's been skipping around a lot, could've been before Hostage Crisis.

The next one I'm excited about. Cad Bane? Todo? No Togruta in sight? Hell yea! I hope it's still the actual Todo from before Holocron Heist.

Posted

Well, obviously these episodes are prequels to all the other Cad Bane episodes since Ziro is still in prison (and says "next time I'll hire someone better"), Todo is "alive", and Bane is looking for specs on the senate building. The continuity in this series is pretty messed up and confusing. :sceptic:

The episode was alright. Sure, it was rushed and not as good as it could have been, but I'm used to that from this show by now. It was much better than the last few episodes anyway. Ahsoka is really growing up which is good to see.

And yes, next episode is promising, simply 'cause it has Bane and Todo in it.

Yeah, that has been bugging me too. I'm like, "Is this the Season of Prequels?!?" Every freakin' episode in this Season have all been prequels to episodes from Season 1/2!

1) Clone Cadets - Rookies (S1)

2) Supply Lines - Ryloth Trilogy (S1)

3) Sphere of Influence - Ambush (S1)

4) Corruption - Mandalore story arc (S2)

5) The Academy - Mandalore story arc (S2)

And now the next one will be a prequel to Hostage Crisis?! Have they ran out of new stuff to create and hence the 'recycled' stories?

Ok, end of rant. I'm still gonna watch, not that I'm enjoying the season so far, but hopefully looking forward for worthy episodes in the upcoming ones.

Something we can agree on : Too many prequels. But, why can't the CW team make the episodes in order.
