I believe what he is trying to say is that there was nobody that cared about Maul, so who helped him "get back together?" For Anakin, there was immediate help both times; the first time because there were a ton of Clones and Jedi around to get him immediate treatment, and the second time because the Emperor came in and rescued him quite quickly.

Exactly, thanks

Speaking of different looks, I just found this HORRIFYING artwork on Wookieepedia which shows what a live-action Ahsoka could look like.

I manged to watch the commentary on the episode and I have to say, that shot of the platform opening was pretty sweet. With all the rain dripping off it and the visors glowing brightly in the semi-darkness...

Sure, but just looking epic is not everything. They need to BE epic, so hopefully we do see them in action at some point.

That's one of the flaws in this show. They seem to care more about visuals and fanservice and less about actual storytelling. :sadnew:

Oh would not want that job of Ahsoka in a live action, would take ages to do that make up.

Not if you get one of the "Guidettes" from Jersey Shore to play her.

BTW image of Jinn from the CW episode he will be in, also turns out that the ending of 3 was edited, Jinn was supposed to be in RotS as force ghost but couldn't due to injury.

The image is old news (we have already seen the whole scene) but thanks for the article.

I knew that a long time ago. It was going to be in the part where Yoda was meditating on Pollis Massa, and was something about capping off the whole Darth Plaguies story. I have the coversation in a book of mine.

A good point. I too hope the commandos come back- now that they have the model it shouldn't be too hard to pop them in an episode or two.

Yeah, while I'm not a huge fan of what they did to the original movies in the special editions, I think the prequels could really use some touching up.. And if they could film this scene and add it in, it'd be pretty amazing, even if it was nothing more than a quick shot of Qui-gon being there. It was disappointing you never actually got to see him and it was pretty obvious we were supposed to.

The preview for the new episode is pretty interesting too.. Grey Jedi?

Simply put, neutral Force users, neither Sith nor Jedi.

I've learned to lower my standerds when it comes to CW.

That preview makes me really want to see the episode thoguh. It looks very intruiging.

Well, this certainly was a weird episode. It kinda had more of a Star Trek feel to it IMO. It had absolutely nothing to do with the Clone Wars, and it opened up a lot more questions than it answered any. :sceptic: But then again, isn't that how almost all episodes in this season have been? So, unless something really crazy happens in the next episodes, I'm not really looking forward to them.

The guest voices were great though. Did anyone else recognize Starkiller and Maris?

And is it just me or does adult Ahsoka look kinda hot?

Just you.

That was a very cliche episode. It's too bad, was hoping to see some of Ahsoka's past. Guess not.

But more importantly.

How do you know what a Star Trek episode is like?

That was such a great episode!! I finally feel as if this season is taking off! I loved all the new character models being used in a full episode like that and love Ahsoka's new lightsaber! :cry_happy:

I really hope the next episode is as great as this one and it will make maybe the best arc we have ever had! It will be interesting to see where this goes and what will come of Ahsoka :oh:

I really think that she will turn to the dark side but then be fine by the end of the arc, but I think she might either choose to leave Anikan/become a knight/or leave the jedi order!

Thanks for reading,

This eepisode was a little confusing, but remember, it's part of a 3 episode arc so it's a bit early to judge.. My only real complaint is that I do feel we were once again let down by the 20 minute run time. But I'm pretty surprised to see you guys not being so fond of this episode, I thought it was pretty amazing.. It explained a few points which have been annoyingly vague up until now and raised a lot of new questions, which is more the type of thing we need to see from the show more often, these past few episodes have actually had suspense, which has been sorely lacking from the series until now.

Most importantly, it explained exactly what this "prophecy" and "chosen one" nonsense has been about. I found it very interesting to see a character that was just as powerful as Anakin, if not more so and that Anakin's destiny as the chosen one is supposed to have been to replace this figure as an "anchorite" between the two sides of the force. I really liked that we weren't just dealing with plain old black and white good and evil, but something a lot deeper.. Anakin himself is supposed to become something more than a mere Jedi or Sith and instead become the balance itself. It was also a return to the force being something less physical but more mysterious, which is definitely the right direction. We also saw Anakin struggling with his emotions and make even more choices that will eventually lead to his complete emotional break down. I think we're seeing the first stage of his slide into the character he'll be by Revenge of the Sith.

We also got an interesting look at Ahsoka's possible futures.. She'll either break away from Anakin, seeing the corruption in him, which would explain why she wasn't around in RoTS.. or his darkness is going to consume her and lead to her own downfall.

Everything was a lot less clear cut in this episode, it required you to actually think about what was happening and decide for yourself, that was a sign of much more mature and intelligent writing and a return to the stylings of the original trilogy.

Although a bit confusing here and there and occasionally being so disconnected from previous episodes(sharing only it's main characters as the only thing related to the star Wars universe), I do think this episode was decent(I'm sure they'll screw it up in the next two episodes, but okay) giving you plenty of stuff to think about. The only thing really of note that bothered me is the appearance of Qui-Gon Jinn, while the other two had visions induced by respectively the light and the dark side children, Obi-Wan seems to have Qui-Gon babbling at him, it seemed unnecessary and unless they fix it I think it bumps with movie canon (as Obi-Wan is amazed to hear Yoda had contact with Qui-Gon in Ep III).

I like that the head honcho sheds new light on the meaning of the balance of the force, explaining that too much light or dark would be the undoing of life as people will understand it. Shedding a whole new perspective on how wrong the Jedi could have understood the prophecy and changing the way you could see the movies(there is no balance if you kill of all sith or consewuently all jedi).

All in all not a bad episode, not a great one, but so far I liked it far better than the previous arc.

Does anyone know the name or type of the new shuttle that they were flying? I've seen it before, but they seem to alternate now between that and the T-6.

I looked it up for you (cause can't keep track of all these names).

Apparently it's the Eta Shuttle

I suspect we will see it in Lego as well, either this year or the next.

Ah, thanks. I was trying to google it, but was coming up blank. All I was finding was the T-6, and the one from the New Republic. I was also thinking, just how long will it be until we see this in Lego?

Probably not until next January at the earliest, though that could be a good bet.

Although that episode had no Clone Wars feel whatsoever, it was reminiscent of some of the weirder Star Wars books and comics out there. It didn't really make a lot of sense, but it wasn't confusing either. It was at least better than the whole Savage arc, in my opinion anyway. Maybe that's just because I can't stand listening to Ventress' chain smoker voice, and the Night Mother's constant promises of revenge on Dooku were just depressing.

The only conceptual thing that continues to bug me, especially in this episode, is how the Jedi whip out their lightsabers at every single occasion. I guess since it's their only weapon it makes sense most of the time, especially since the War in general brings a lot of conflict, but Obi-Wan holding his lightsaber to the ghost of Qui-Gon for a prolonged period of time was just silly. Maybe he would turn it on when he just realized Qui-Gon was there, but it just didn't make sense for him to have it on as long as he did.

Ahsoka getting about two feet taller in her future self also didn't make a whole lot of sense, and the fact that she has a secondary short lightsaber… but whatever. They can do what they want.

I would have to agree, as confusing/weird as the episode might have been, it was quite intriguing as well. I, for one, liked it in the sense that it's sort of a break from all the battles and senate stuff that has been going throughout the series. It was really interesting to have the 'Chosen One' prophecy explained in a way that we didn't expect it to be. There visuals are noteworthy (changing seasons, Avatar-like planet, Qui-Gon apparition, adult Ahsoka), as well as the musical scoring (when Qui-Gon and Obi-wan were talking).

It causes bumps, but it's not completely impossible. Obi-wan was surprised to hear that Qui-gon had found a way to come back but he doesn't say that's impossible or anything to imply he hasn't heard from him since.. All he learned in this episode was that this cave was powerful enough to allow him to see Qui-gon. The fact that in episode III he can do this anywhere is still reason to be surprised.

I do think I would have preferred if it was merely a vision/flashback but that wouldn't have had the same impact. But remember, there are still two episodes in this story arc to go. Could end up still being another explanation.
