DarthR2-D2 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 I cannot believe this. I just watched the Season 3 finale. Chewbacca got raped again. He got raped in RotS. How did that do any character development or war development? I had heard that the finale was going to be Dooku invading Mandalore and giving it to Death Watch and there would be a huge Geonosis-like battle, I guess not. That would've been better. Quote
Aethersprite Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Aside from the Halo, Plo Koon's JSF also made cameo appearances in the finale and the Citadel story arc. I guess they need to justify Lego's production of the 2 relatively-unseen sets. Quote

And I don't think I saw a single bowcaster. Quote
Diaaabo Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 And I don't think I saw a single bowcaster. I also noticed that would arm-ripping be too violent for the show? Watching a Trandonshan being beaten up by his own arms would be just lovely Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Since when did Wookiees not have and space ships at their disposal? Well, besides for EU sources (perhaps?) we have never seen Wookiee space ships, just Wookiee planetary flying machines. It doesn't make any sense for them to bring in the Halo, but it wasn't too bad seeing it. And how do both Ahsoka and Sugi happen to speak Wookiee? Sugi maybe since it would make sense that she's been all around the galaxy, but Ahsoka understanding the language was a bit strange. Quote

It doesn't make any sense for them to bring in the Halo, but it wasn't too bad seeing it. I suppose. Any freighter would've worked, though. And how do both Ahsoka and Sugi happen to speak Wookiee? Sugi maybe since it would make sense that she's been all around the galaxy, but Ahsoka understanding the language was a bit strange. Because they decided they had to include a Wookiee and that Wookiee would have to speak to the Jedi. Personally I think it would've worked better to have one of the younglings understand it, because since we don't know the history of their travels we wouldn't wonder where they picked it up. Quote
DarthR2-D2 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 And I was expecting Yoda to go meet w/ and thank the Wookiees personally since he said he had good relations w/ the wookiees. Instead he just stared off into space. (Metaphorically speaking) Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 No, I think you were supposed to assume that he was chatting with them. I actually found their little tilt down to him a clever thing to do. It made you think "Oh, why isn't Yoda talking to the Wookiees?" and then "Oh, he was actually." What I didn't understand about the ending was why all of the Wookiees would go back to Coruscant with the Padawans. Surely the Wookiees (including what might have been Tarful) have better things to do then ride on back to Coruscant? That didn't make much sense to me. Quote
Fallenangel Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 The Halo confused me. Since when did Wookiees not have and space ships at their disposal? And I don't think I saw a single bowcaster. Since Lucas said so... And how do both Ahsoka and Sugi happen to speak Wookiee? Perhaps since Jedi are keepers of the peace, they're taught to speak many languages (for reasons of diplomacy). Quote
Artanis I Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Perhaps since Jedi are keepers of the peace, they're taught to speak many languages (for reasons of diplomacy). This is possible. Keeping in mind many characters can talk to & understand droids and Huttese as well. Maybe it's like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy where everyone has a babelfish in their ear - or like Farscape where they get an injection for it. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Surely the Wookiees (including what might have been Tarful) have better things to do then ride on back to Coruscant? That didn't make much sense to me. Wookieepedia says it was Tarrful (spelling?). And yeah, that doesn't make much sense. Maybe they were trying to set up the good relations between Yoda, Tarrful, and Chewie. Quote
DarthR2-D2 Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) Here's the reason for everything that has happened this entire confusing season... You can pick one or the other...: MAGIC or SIX EDIT: Sarcasm, I love it. Edited April 1, 2011 by DarthR2-D2 Quote
Clone OPatra Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Um… what? I see what the magic part means (Mortis Trilogy, Nightsisters), but 'six?' Is that a euphemism there for another word with a very similar spelling? Quote
Cad Bane Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I too thought it odd that the Wookiees happened to have Sugi nearby (possibly for hire), but it was nice to see her back again as she's a decent character. StarWars.com has confirmed that Tarfful in the episode, as well as an updated Plo. All in all, this was a pretty good season finale. Did anyone else wonder why they had to cut scenes where the 2nd group of adult captives who got killed further in were banding together to survive, but were able to include several scenes of those canary looking birds and the lizard? I thought that those birds were kind of distracting from the solemn mood of the story. Excited for Season 4 and Mon Calamaris! Quote
Cad Bane Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I was watching Wookiee Hunt and something about the Halo struck me as odd. First I thought that it was just the fact that they used it in the episode, but then I happened to see the Lego Halo online (I don't own it sadly). So I looked on StarWars.com for pictures from the recent episode of the Halo. Comparing them, I thought "Wow, Lego can't be that off can it?". So then I referenced images from "Bounty Hunters" and noticed that in it's brief appearance, it had a small cockpit (which looked much closer to the Lego version which was modeled after it). The 2nd version looks more like a dropship to me. Does Sugi have two ships that are almost identical? Or, did she make modifications to the original version? All three variations provided for reference in the spoiler: The "Bounty Hunters" version: the "Wookiee Hunt" version: and the Lego version: Quote
CMP Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 {Probably just enhanced. Lego couldn't've waited and made the dropship version? It looks amazingly better. Quote
Oky Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Huh, I didn't notice that. It's not a big difference, so I'm guessing she must've modified it between these episodes. Lego couldn't've waited and made the dropship version? And given Sugi the new zabrak horns. Oh well, every ship eventually gets re-released. The finale was pretty good IMO. Not great, but a lot better than most of the season. I didn't think the death of whats-her-face wasn't all that predictable, and the cameo of Sugi and Tarful was a nice surprise. Quote
Cad Bane Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Commentaries are up on StarWars.com! The Wookiee Hunt one explains the controversy over using Sugi's ship. Filoni does not, however, explain how the ship was changed, only that it was. Quote
DarthR2-D2 Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 The part about the Wookiees hiring Sugi and friends made some sense...Kinda...not Really Quote

Brickadeer Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Does anyone know btw. why Hevy died already in s1e05? That'd mean that s1e05 took place between s3e01 and s3e02 or am I wrong? Quote

Brickadeer Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 The show does tend to skip around the timeline a lot. Ah ok. I've never been aware of that. Quote
LEGOman273 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Ah ok. I've never been aware of that. (Since this was already bumped) It does (did) and the episode "Clone Cadets" was also a flashback to explain things that happened in "ARC Troopers" (99, Hevy's medel, etc) Quote
