Hey guys,

Slightly inspired by the tanker truck from the town plan set and a picture of an old Shell truck, I decided to make my own:

Now that is a happy Shell driver!

Chrome comes from Chromebricks.

Thanks and enjoy!

Really nice work there Rick!

It reminds me a lot of some of the original wooden LEGO trucks we saw in the Ideas House in Billund.

Just can't get enough of that chrome either! SHINY!

AWESOME truck 'Captain Green Hair' - more beautiful than the one that came with Town Plan, if that's possible.

Stickering is excellent, trim work also excellent, frontend of truck - love it !

Great work 'Captain Green Hair' and I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

Really nice! Using the small antenna as a mirror is really clever.

It would look really nice in a 50-60's themed lay out (with steam trains, modular houses etc.) which is actually what I plan to build, so I may try and build something similar if you don't mind :)

 Chrome

Excellent work, I like the curves it really gives it that 60's feel!

How about making one of those old styles gas pump to go with it?

I'll add a whole service station in the future, this is just a start.

Using the antenna as a mirror is not a new idea, I've seen it before on brickshelf, don't know who thought it up though.

Be my guest to build something similar.

Great job, Captain Green Hair! I especially like all the details on your model (such as the smaller doors and the red rails along the sides), as well as your interesting windshield technique. And of course, I agree with the other posters that the chrome is awesome.
