Solitary Dark Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Just based on 'feel' alone, imanged to pick out a Forestman, caveman and cowboy, then 2 robots. Some are easier than others, the robots are easy if you can pick out the helmet with its two aerials. Argos seem to have them out at the till everywhere, and my local store said that I was not the first person to cop a feel of the packs! Quote
Iain Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I spent about 20 minutes in WHSmiths in Sheffield this afternoon sorting through the minifigure packets with my Barcode list. I managed to get a full set of 16, plus a couple of extra zombies, clowns, cheerleaders and an extra robot. The guy in the shop was really pleasant and I checked with him first to see if it was ok for me to go through the whole box. I love them all and can't wait for series 2 to come out later in the year. escortmad79 Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I got my lot today from WH Smiths in Dunfermline (They had 2 boxes on display but have already been rifled through before I got to them! A couple of cheerleaders had already gone along with the majority of clowns!) & produced the list of barcodes. I got a strange look from an older checkout lady who walked past to check what I was doing so told her about the list & she seemed ok with it. She served me & I told her what I'd got & compared the barcode on the bag to the one on the list. Dunfermline Argos don't seem to have the figs in, nowhere to be seen & not listed in the catalogues (Not even the handout like in other stores!) Quote
Dunjohn Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 I may have missed something, but is the whole issue around barcodes the fact that you cannot see the minifig in the box. Is one minifig sold per box or multiple. I read somewhere that release date was June 2010, are they in fact available now? Some people here from Ireland suggesting Argos have them, do Smyths too, do you know? Smyths Galway doesn't. Just Argos. Quote
Matt Dawson Posted May 17, 2010 Author Posted May 17, 2010 Just a footnote. Or two... My local TRU collectable figs use the EU barcode. And I only have 5 left to collect (Clown, Magician, Wrestler, Indian and Diver) Quote
squiz Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Just went into tru and used holodocs barcodes to pick out the ones i wanted (caveman, skater and forestman). Luckily the till the box was placed at was shut so i could rifle through the boxes without any funny looks! A kid and his dad came up and grabbed a couple, i offered them the barcode sheet so they could find the ones they wanted and they declined ! I dont think the kid would have been patient enough. I saw on ebay earlier some people selling PDF's of the barcodes for 99p which is pretty poor really. Bet they have just taken someone elses hardwork. Quote

Artifex Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) That's exactly how I got my bowman/"Robin Hood" minifig. A real nice guy from Hamleys did the search for me. Edited June 9, 2010 by WhiteFang Removed the entire quote filled with long text and images Quote
Rick Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Thanks for your efforts, but there is already a topic about Collectible Minifigs barcodes. Quote
