Oky Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 (edited) Now, where is your entry? I am sure it's ready to be presented. And, the question which you pose, one of the participants had asked before and this is my reply. Maybe you're right. I'll post it to see what everyone says about it, then I can still make the changes. But I'm still unsure about whether we can use Lego's official stickers or not. Wow, Oky, that's a lot of criticism... Got anything for mine? Or how about some favs? Not much. Only that it's kinda cheesy to make a Western MOC and simply call it a recreation to make it fit into a town contest. Just kidding, the worker does indicate very well that this is indeed a modern situation. Perhaps you could give the cowboy actor a script in his hand to make it even more clear that he's an actor. Also, I would have prefered if the top of the saloon wasn't so jagged, but maybe that's just me. And it's impossible to pick favs out of all those great entries, but Jammie's, alex54's, Колпак's, and fugazi's are definitely up there! Also, Jammie, I don't think MJ was white at that point in his career. Yes, that's why Jammie made him yellow, with grey zombie make-up. Btw, I forgot one criticism: @ Mikey: If you are aware that your entry isn't a town MOC and that therefore your post could be considered spam, why post it? Edited June 3, 2010 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
WhiteFang Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 It appears we now have all 16 different minifigs' vigs covered? But I'm still unsure about whether we can use Lego's official stickers or not. To make this simple. LEGO's official stickers and stickers which is made by the participants are allowed in this contest. Quote
ThatGuyWithTheBricks Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Haha, thanks Oky. I would of put brown round studs on the tops, but I didn't have enough pieces. Haha, thanks Oky. I would of put brown round studs on the tops, but I didn't have enough pieces. Quote
Darkblane Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Well, I'm off on holiday for the next two weeks, without access to the Internet and haven't posted enough on here to use the PM functionality yet ... So just thought I'd post this and let you know, so that if I do get into the top three and you try to contact me, you'll know why I don't respond. I know I can't vote anyway, but my favourites are: Tereglith - Love the way the floor boards have been made Redcross - Very nice idea, particularly like the mirror 74louloute - Really like the overall finish of this Noodles140 - Simple, but very effective Good luck to everyone who's entered. I look forward to seeing the results when I get back. Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 I like your chandelier DJJ, it's nice for small spaces. Quote
Oky Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 (edited) OK, so I posted my entry. What do you think? Anything I could improve? @ Zechariah Legio: Could please resize your pics? They're humongous! Nice entry though. I would have liked it better if the tiles would have covered the whole floor however. Edited June 3, 2010 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
graznador Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Hi everyone! I'm a longtime fan of Eurobricks but first time poster. This contest was too great to pass up. My entry's here. Good luck to everyone! Quote
WhiteFang Posted June 4, 2010 Author Posted June 4, 2010 38 HOURS LEFT There is no time to lose.. If you have any amendments, please do it right now or your entry will be subjected to disqualification. Don't hesitate. I may even close this contest a little earlier by a hour. greenskull139 Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 (edited) If I want to attach the minifig a certain way, can I add a part to the minifig if it does not include that part? For example, I want to attach one of these to the neck of the "main minifig" can I have that part in the vig where it should be? If you don't understand I will just post my entry and you can tell me if there is anything wrong. Edited June 4, 2010 by greenskull139 Quote

Oky Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I think I know what greenskull means to say, and I think it should be OK, but of course Whitefang still needs to approve it officially. So, since you did not comment on my MOC, Whitefang, I'm guessing my entry meets the standards? Just checking. Quote
WhiteFang Posted June 4, 2010 Author Posted June 4, 2010 So, since you did not comment on my MOC, Whitefang, I'm guessing my entry meets the standards? Just checking. Yes, the standard is met, where did you get that hawk sticker? As for those whom I have warned about disqualifications and don't get back to me, these special group of people are in for a treat. -JD- Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I have the same question as Oky Wan. Is my entry up to standards? Quote
ThatGuyWithTheBricks Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 @Oky Great job at creating a nice module-style lego townhouse. Only one gripe: It's a bit too much to take in. I feel like the airplane and house are two separate, excellent MOCs. It's just a bit too much to take in. @Jammie I love your MJ fig, it looks exactly like him! (except for the gills) The vig, however, is a little too simple. There's really nothing too special about it. What t has is that it's funny and nostalgic. Great entries you guys, I predict that you will be top contenders for this one. Quote
WhiteFang Posted June 5, 2010 Author Posted June 5, 2010 I am giving an extra 15 minutes or so, time allowance to make any last minute changes before I officially locked the entries topic and sologuy369, I can't view your entry despite after dropping you a reminder. I have the same question as Oky Wan. Is my entry up to standards? Yes, your entry is qualified. Quote
Dan the Brickman Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 well, I barely made it! but now Im officially in! check out the moc-pages link for more pics, because my brickshelf isnt public yet. (Im excited 'cause this is my first contest here!) Quote
WhiteFang Posted June 5, 2010 Author Posted June 5, 2010 Voting has commenced! Please go here to drop your votes. Quote
Don Cristo Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Being a brand new EuroBricks forum member, I am not allowed to vote. And I am quite delighted, for choosing between all your incredible vignettes would have been too hard. I am not posting in the voting thread, not to (try and) influence registered voters, but nevertheless, I wish to congratulate the following vignetters (in order of appearance): 08) Cutlass Iz: what do you think Doctor Jones thinks of your vignette? Probably nothing, according to his sense of humour. But common folks like me really fancy it; 13) JimButcher: I just gotta say three words to you: YOU ROCK, MAN! 20) Noodles 140: you reused a gag and made it work once again. I'm s'till smiling while thinking of it. Well done! 21) Jameson42: I suspect you of being a former Village People addict. Nice use of figs and pink. I must confess the colour at first sight made me think it was about h**kers. It turned out to be even more promising (and politically correct, of course); 32) Torham: Not need to say anything: your idea was brilliant! 36) Captain'Spaulding: I love how you mixed figs and pieces from different themes and made them work together. I can't wait to see you making a Beetlejuice MOC or vignette; 40) Jammiedodger714: because of you, I spent my whole day with Micheal Jackson and turned the music extremely loud; it was therefore a very fine day (maybe not for the neighbours). Thank you so much! 44) GIR 3691: your Ollie the bum scene totally reminds me of the TH games I spent so many hours on. Even without it, it deserved a point; 50) Oky Wan Kenobi: you created a fantastic design for a minifig that is not the most exciting and made me want one. Great job! 52) Graznador: even if the true story behind your vignette is a terrible disaster, you turned it into a magnificent success. Very good ideas and a lot of humour. I love it; 53) Lego-maniac: your creation tied with Noodles 140's for the best laugh of the week. You too deserved to be given a vote. Not being quoted here does not mean one sucks. Still, considering a maximum of three votes were to be given, I narrowed down my congrats list. Many of you also had a place in it. Quote
Legorski Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I'm confused. It's still the fifth here in Canada, and the contest is stated to end the sixth. I have an entry ready and all, Am I still eligible to enter? Quote

I have an entry ready and all, Am I still eligible to enter? Well, world time does not revolve around Canada. If you read the rules, the contest ended: 0000hrs (GMT+8) GMT+8. That's about 14-16 hours ahead of North American time, depending on where you live. Quote

WhiteFang Posted June 6, 2010 Author Posted June 6, 2010 I hope you can understand that the schedule deadline is very tight and I actually extended a hour more to cater for any last minute entries. There are a couple of you whom has missed the deadline but it's actually encouraged not to submit last minute due to time difference misunderstanding. However, I have also indicated many remindiers in the discussion thread, even if you don't understand the different time zones. Next time, don't submit your entries late. Being a brand new EuroBricks forum member, I am not allowed to vote. And I am quite delighted, for choosing between all your incredible vignettes would have been too hard. I am not posting in the voting thread, not to (try and) influence registered voters, but nevertheless, I wish to congratulate the following vignetters (in order of appearance): Thanks Don Cristo for taking your time to comment of some of the participants' entries.
