Oky Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 (edited) Hello there. From the beginning, I have been annoyed by all the complaints about the specialized parts in the Toy Story line being useless for MOCs in other themes, so I decided to make a MOC or two to prove those people wrong. This is one of them. Have you ever wondered how the Power Miners set up their mining station or handle heavy equipment? They used hard suits, small mechs that enhance their strength! It features a hydraulics pressure display and an emergency light on its back. These hard suits can lift up to five times their weight! Obviously inspired by the Powerloader from Aliens. Hope you like it. Hi-res pics in this BS folder. Edited May 17, 2010 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Like it? I love it! Its very basic but have nice details (+ for dirty Buzz piece). The one think that I would change is to make the grippers orange. But I know its not possible ;] Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Amazing, I never would have thought of it. Why does the minifig have to hold that handle? Quote
Big Cam Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Cool design, I find myself wishing for just a little more girth to the legs and arms, but I like what you did with a minamalistic amount of parts. Quote
prateek Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Oh, wow. That is innovation to the max! It even fits in with the PM colour scheme! Great job Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Nice use of the Buzz armour piece! I sorta don't like the purple stripes, but that's just a little detail. The whole thing looks great! 'Proved me wrong! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
charlieboy Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Tis so simple but bloody brilliant! Well done sir, think i may have to steal those leg designs too! Quote
NewRight Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Brilliant usage of the new buzz armour. It looks great integrated into that mecha suit. Quote
iamded Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 That's very cool, Oky Wan Kenobi! Nice parts usage, great job. ~Peace Quote
the_truth Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 yeah right. you have really proved the Toy Storey parts have limitless connection possibilities. right i am very convinced. what i really admire is the way this whole MOC is held togethor with hope... if anything it actually proves the uselessness of of the Buzz Light Year armour. no real connection possibilities. Your whole MOC is held togethor by the MiniFig!. Yeah, wayy to go. on the scale of pointlessness this has to score a near 100% negative point score. Home Goal. Back of the Net. Quote
Siegfried Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Yeah, wayy to go. on the scale of pointlessness this has to score a near 100% negative point score. Home Goal. Back of the Net. Yeah, just like your three first posts. Chat time... Quote

You're a bit useless here, aren't you? So what if his MOC is held together by the minifig? It's still functional and looks good. My only complaint mirrors a previous one. Purple stripes don't look right. Quote
sok117 Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Nice job, I like it, and don't take offense but I think it's adorable, good job and I can't wait to see what you do with your next toy story accessory. Quote
