I am actually in the process of doing something along theses lines by combining both of the back towers into one large tower and having a place for both the king and queen. I have 2 of these sets already but I think I need at least one more to get the bricks I need to complete my MOC. I'm trying to be patient and wait for a sale on this set to get 1 pr 2 more of them.

I wanted to buy another castle set to use all the 933 pieces if need be to build the tower expansion, it's just a bit hard since it's facing the rear, and have no imagination what-so-ever to come up with something good. I suck with LEGO's, even though I have the whole "Kingdoms" set, don't know how to play with them :cry_happy:

I seen the expansions made with a couple of more castles, especially's MCNwakeboard but I wish he took more detailed pictures of the inside! Great Imagination!

Great review DaleDVM  I don't own any Lego Castle/ Kingdom/ Knight sets but I do like to look at them. This one looks pretty good but, the one from the mid 90's is still my favorite! Thanks for the in depth look at a neat set. :classic:

Here is my weak attempt to build an extra throne room, is not attached to anything, but this is how much I suck with my imagination:

My version of the King's Castle Siege and his remains in the throne, from his futile attempt at defending his kingdom:

Nice display of sets, just an advice, maybe the throne room should be more colorful, not the likes of a prison, the king is excelent beside his queen.

Greetings.

I wanted to take the time to thank everyone who posted in this thread. I loved doing the review and only wish I had better lighting at the time to show off the colors better. I do check back from time to time to see what the discussion is about the King's Castle. I bought 2 more of this set last weekend and I am now up to 4. It really is a great set for parts and since I got a 30% discount I couldn't resist the temptation.

Also thanks to people posting modifications to their King's Castle sets. It is even more attractive when made a little larger.

I do think this set will remain on shelves through this year. The second release of Kingdoms sets doesn't have a $100.00 USD set and this one would fill that nitch. King's Castle Siege had a similar 2 year run with the Fantasy Era sets. Hopefully all you castle fans can get as many as you want!

This is my favourite LEGO castle, together with 6086 and 6090. It's smaller than previous Kings Castle Siege but this castle contains smaller pieces. I like classic look of this castle.

Greetings to all LEGO fans here.

yeah its pretty stingy. I think the days of getting 4 horses with a castle set (eg Kings Castle, Black knights castle, black monarchs castle ) are well and truly over :( There were 5 horses (and 4 minifigs) in this set and it was only a wagon !

That's right! Compared with old castle sets with up to 4 horses and knights, this only has one for the king. :( this is no good.

Maybe Lego must to make impulsive sets like the 6009 or 6034 (black knights). :) and combined with battle packs do a big army :)

It's a really nice review of a really nice looking set, I'm planning to buy it in a couple of weeks when I've got some free time.

I know I'm a bit late to the game, but I'm really loving the kingdoms line at the moment and I'm trying to find all the 2010 sets before the new 2011 sets are available next month in the UK.

I finally built this set tonight, and I'm pretty impressed. Took a couple of hours to build it together with a friend, and it was enjoyable in spite of being slightly repetitive at times. It's my first ever real castle, and buying and building it fulfilled a childhood dream of mine. I regard this as one of the best LEGO Castles ever, so I'm very pleased to have it as my first. And while it's true that it's not as big as the 2007 Castle, it seems to be as big or bigger as the classic castles. So no complaints here.

And best of all, it gave me all the bricks needed for some own creations I've been wanting to do for a while.

Thanks again to everyone who read this thread and posted a reply. I am hoping everyone who wanted a King's Castle got it. Sad that it didn't make two years on the market. Lets hope Kingdoms is visited again some time in the future.

I think this set is absolutely awesome.

Castle has always been my second favourite theme. And I must say that this set is the most natural and purest evolution of the old castles from 1985-95. I love everything in it: structure, color scheme, minifigs, etc.

I think that you guys are very lucky having this set in 2010.

This is the set that brought me out of my dark ages. Though it's pretty simple, it's also elegant, and a great compliment to pretty much any past castle theme.
