Anybody know where I can pick up a variety of different sets in Barcelona? I found a couple shops in the city center but they only had a few sets. Thanks for any help! Cheers

May 20, 201014 yr Author I usually buy stuff online when I'm in the states but I was hoping for some "instant gratification". <chuckle> Maybe I can just buy a couple sets for parts from whatever store I find downtown. I haven't found any Space Police sets here anywhere, that's what I really wanted.

May 20, 201014 yr Author I did some research into the pricing but I'm not so sure how it compares with the store. Maybe I will just buy something small as a test case. I did find an online lego shop today that looks pretty good--the closest thing to shop@home I've seen. I'm off to a local toy store to do some "research".
May 20, 201014 yr Well Bored Robot, if you know any stores that do sell any lego within barcelona then please tell me as I am going there in 4 months. There is a TRU here where I visited in summer. It has good stock and the price is a little more expensive than the U.K where I live but they do have a lot of products and some older ones when I went.

The maps link didn't work. There is a Toys R Us I will check out in the coming days, I just wanted to hit more local spots first. I went to a couple shops today but the best had to be El Corte Ingles in Placa Catalunya (center of the city and ground zero for tourists). There was a good selection of themes: Star Wars (the most), Creator, City, Atlantis, Ben 10, Toy Story, Technic but NO Space Police <GGrrrr>. I think the prices were a bit high for some things (€16 for SW BP) and okay for others (€10 for Atlantis 8057). The prices might be a few euros less at more local toy/hobby shops but the selection won't be that great. If you are walking around the Eixample neighborhood (basically downtown) and you see any kind of hobby shop, have a look they most likely have some lego sets also. This has got to be one of the coolest shops in town and it's in my neighborhood!: Robótica They sell mostly Mindstorms and Power Functions parts.
May 21, 201014 yr hi there, i know Barcelona and I can recommend you some places to have a look, but i warn you it will not be cheap. -Palau at Pelayo Street, near Plaza Cataluña, in the very same Barcelona center. -You will find several TRU in the Big Comercial Places (for example Diagonal Mar) -I will recommend you maybe one of the biggest (since he has a lot of oldies, and much more than he shows in his web), you can talk to Ricardo at www.Rickebrick.com (You can say jig recommended you )
May 21, 201014 yr Author Thanks for the contribution to the thread. I've checked out Palau once before (muy cara), I was trying to remember the name; I liked that shop besides the Lego stuff. I may visit Diagonal Mar this afternoon just to have a look around. For some reason I'm in the mood for Space Police. I hope they have some. After spending a week in the hospital I want to to treat myself!

Rickebrick is great but his store in Bricklink is even better. I'm all set now for when I need really specific stuff.
