DLuders Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 The Netherlands is home of "Han", a prolific Lego Technic builder who has made BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS for 8 different MOCs: http://www.designer-han.nl/lego/ . Some are already familiar with his work, but he's built several new models in 2010. All of the following MOCs have MLcad Building Instructions, some have Excel parts lists, and some have Adobe PDF building instructions. Check out his website to see much more about these: Dump Truck 10 x 4 (2009): Drawbar Trailer, 4-Axle (2010): Prinoth Leitwolf NT with Power Functions (2007): ("NT" stands for NEW TRACK system) Prinoth Leitwolf OT (2006 - 2007): ("OT" stands for OLD TRACK system) Slurry Injection Trailer (2008): Tipping Trailer (2009): 8421 XL (2006): Mobile Crane Truck (1982): PLUS Original Mods for Crane Truck Set 8258, Dump Truck Set 8415, Off-Roader Set 8466, and Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano 1:10 Set 8145. A note from his "FAQs" page: "All files for download are compressed with WINrar; where can I find the decompression software? See http://www.rarlab.com for a free trail version. Or download freeware decompression software from http://www.7-zip.org (Microsoft Windows only)." Quote
Blakbird Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I have built several of these models and can confirm that they are exemplary. The Prinoth Leitwolf snow groomer is one of the best models I have ever built. Quote
Jurgen Krooshoop Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 These models certainly look impressive. I really like the 1982 mobile truck for its nostalgic looks. Quote
flyz Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I too have built the 10x4 dump truck and while it doesn't have the most technic functions, the functions that are there are simply brilliant. It's also a beautiful model nonetheless. I'm planning to build the trailer in the near future... Quote
Jurgen Krooshoop Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I just looked through the entire instructions for the 10x4 Dumptruck and they are of the highest quality. Very accurate and completely clear. They are the only custom instructions I've seen that are of TLG-quality (maybe even prettier). This is definately worth BIG BIG BIG COMPLIMENTS !!! And the model looks sooooo good. Quote
boatbuoy Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 I have the 10x4 Truck & trailer, with the all pneumatic backhoe strapped by lego chains on my desk at work. Always get good comments from people when they come in to the office. Really elegant and sturdy model, with all the functions correctly enngineered for the size with no sag or droop. I can't wait to see if Han offers us any thing later this year. Quote
DLuders Posted June 23, 2012 Author Posted June 23, 2012 [bUMP] Han's 4-Axle Drawbar Trailer (pictured below) has been added to Rebrickable. Read more about it on Designer-Han's webpage. Quote
gmshades Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I have been racking my brain on how to create a self unfolding ramp for the back of a trailer I'm working on. Hopefully this will give me the geometry to make it happen. I have made Han's XXL Crane and loved it. Quote
Burf2000 Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 They are some great models, if I ever get time I will check out the instructions Quote
phoenixrising Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 The 8258 mod seems particularly interesting for me as I intend to build that model in the near future. Will have to see if I have the necessary pieces though... Quote
gmshades Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 (edited) The 8258 mod seems particularly interesting for me as I intend to build that model in the near future. Will have to see if I have the necessary pieces though... I did the 8258 mod the hans way. Then I started removing pieces and changing out parts. I got the same result with fewer special parts. His 9397 dual mod may be strong but again a lot of special parts needed to accomplish a simple goal. Maybe I should show off my version but I'm not in the same league. On a side note, hans mods to the 8258's crane are very useful and I use them just as he designed. Runs much smoother and without changing direction the motor rotates. Not bad mouthing his mods by any means, just a different approach to the same goal. Edited June 26, 2012 by gmshades Quote
