Courleciel Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 - Lego-maniac : 2 points - Inconspicuous : 1 point Great work for all participants ! ;)
WhiteFang Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Here are my Cat 1 votes, 1 - lego-maniac 1 - Skalldyr 1 - Inconspicuous
willy_poodle Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 My voting considers the rule "It should look like a set that LEGO might actually produce." and how Persian does it look to me. If the former one wasn't there, there certainly would be points for lego-maniac and JopieK, but I don't think LEGO would ever produce their excellent work as sets. There should be another category for them: detailed MOC. 2 points - Mr palmtree's Sultan's Palace 1 point - Johnno's The Skeleton Merchant
Princess Muttonchops Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 After a lot of umming and ahhing, my vote is: Inconspicuous 1 Pedro 1 Mr Palmtree 1 Great work everybody!
Nerd Commander Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 2 point -pedro's "Dhurban Chariot Race" 1 points-Inconspicuous' "Skull Palace Escape" Good job to all. most were well done!
Big Cam Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 lego-maniac - Nizam's palace: 2 points jansued - The Desert Fort: 1 point Great entries everyone.
penguinz Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 2 points- pedro 1 point- Oky Wan Kenobi I really liked the chariot racing idea and how it was executed. All of the colors looked so great together. Oky Wan Kenobi's ship was good too...
ElisHelrot Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 1 point to Skalldyr 1 point to Inconspicuous 1 point to JopieK
Forresto Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 So many brilliant MOCs here, it's so hard to choose. However I must decide that these two are where my votes are going. 2=JopieK 1=Oky Wan
RileyC Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 4. I Scream Clone's Sands of Time - 2 13. Inconspicuous' Skull Palace Escape - 1
Captain'Spaulding Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Hello there, I vote for n°9. lego-maniac's The Nizam's Palace 3 points. The biggest entry for me. Capt'n Spaulding.
Skalldyr Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 I have to give 3 points to.......Lisgr's The Ostrich Race Game It is such a perfect idea. I built one my own and the playability is just amazing! But all the rest of you: Great entries and I wish I could give everyone some points!!!
Superkalle Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 My vote 2 points to Oky Wan Kenoby for the creativity 1 point to Yonkous for the originality (great lightning too in the photo).
Erdbeereis Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 1 point - lego-maniac 1 point - I Scream Clone 1 point - Oky Wan Kenobi Those 3 were my favorites, but all were wonderful.
oo7 Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 One for Oky Wan Kenobi's Nizam's Warship for its resemblance to an official set in both concept and construction Another for Skalldyr's The Oasis of Little Birds for the clearly clever parts usage and authentic atmosphere Last one for Yonkou's The Tree of Life for elegant dedication to the game and its mystical motif Thanks!
74louloute Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 My vote is : 1 point to Skallydr for his Oasis 2 points for lego-maniac for his huge Palace Good luck everybody !
CopMike Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 The Swedish jury votes: 1 point for Skalldyr's The Oasis of Little Birds 1 point for lego-maniac's The Nizam's Palace 1 point for JopieK's The Palace of the Flying Fakir Great entries by everybody, well done !
Oky Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 (edited) 1 point - Jammiedodger714's Battle Chariot Pursuit (Nice and simple, yet effective, with some good figs. Would have preferred this over Desert Attack.) 1 point - Lisgr's The Ostrich Race Game (What a brilliant and creative entry! Would buy it in a heartbeat!) 1 point - brickzone's Waterfront Abduction (Great entry! Really looks like it could be a set, and a good one at that! The design, play features, and modularity are excellent!) Edited May 26, 2010 by Oky Wan Kenobi
Batbrick Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 This was incredibly hard to vote for, so many fantastic entries. Ultimately I chose them based on which work the best as actual possible sets. 1 point - for Inconspicuous' Skull Palace Escape. So much like the classic Johnny Thunder temple sets, a majorly awesome thing. 1 point - for Pedro's Dhurban Chariot Race. Bonus points for being an excellent manip, but the whole thing is pretty much exactly how a real such set would be, and a damn fine one at that. 1 point - for Oky Wan Kenobi's Nizam's Warship. not as good a manip, but the moc itself is just amazing. The badguy themed ship is wonderfully styled, and like Predro's exactly like a real set would be, down to the additional part to jump up the price. And is that a falling floor mechanism I see? Honourable mentions to JopieK's The Palace of the Flying Fakir, lego-maniac's The Nizam's Palace and Skalldyr's The Oasis of Little Birds for all being mocs that make me cry with builder's envy. Batbrick Away!
Shadows Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 2 points for pedro 1 point for brickzone These are the two entries that most look like real sets we could have gotten. There are plenty of good points in the other entries, but they don't fit the intent of the contest as well. Great job everyone and thanks for participating!
