My voting considers the rule "It should look like a set that LEGO might actually produce." and how Persian does it look to me.

If the former one wasn't there, there certainly would be points for lego-maniac and JopieK, but I don't think LEGO would ever produce their excellent work as sets. There should be another category for them: detailed MOC.

2 points - Mr palmtree's Sultan's Palace

1 point - Johnno's The Skeleton Merchant

2 points- pedro

1 point- Oky Wan Kenobi

I really liked the chariot racing idea and how it was executed. All of the colors looked so great together. Oky Wan Kenobi's ship was good too...

So many brilliant MOCs here, it's so hard to choose. However I must decide that these two are where my votes are going.

2=JopieK

1=Oky Wan

I have to give 3 points to.......Lisgr's The Ostrich Race Game

It is such a perfect idea. I built one my own and the playability is just amazing!

But all the rest of you: Great entries and I wish I could give everyone some points!!!

One for Oky Wan Kenobi's Nizam's Warship for its resemblance to an official set in both concept and construction

Another for Skalldyr's The Oasis of Little Birds for the clearly clever parts usage and authentic atmosphere

Last one for Yonkou's The Tree of Life for elegant dedication to the game and its mystical motif

Thanks!

1 point - Jammiedodger714's Battle Chariot Pursuit (Nice and simple, yet effective, with some good figs. Would have preferred this over Desert Attack.)

1 point - Lisgr's The Ostrich Race Game (What a brilliant and creative entry! Would buy it in a heartbeat!)

1 point - brickzone's Waterfront Abduction (Great entry! Really looks like it could be a set, and a good one at that! The design, play features, and modularity are excellent!)

This was incredibly hard to vote for, so many fantastic entries. Ultimately I chose them based on which work the best as actual possible sets.

1 point - for Inconspicuous' Skull Palace Escape. So much like the classic Johnny Thunder temple sets, a majorly awesome thing.

1 point - for Pedro's Dhurban Chariot Race. Bonus points for being an excellent manip, but the whole thing is pretty much exactly how a real such set would be, and a damn fine one at that.

1 point - for Oky Wan Kenobi's Nizam's Warship. not as good a manip, but the moc itself is just amazing. The badguy themed ship is wonderfully styled, and like Predro's exactly like a real set would be, down to the additional part to jump up the price. And is that a falling floor mechanism I see?

Honourable mentions to JopieK's The Palace of the Flying Fakir, lego-maniac's The Nizam's Palace and Skalldyr's The Oasis of Little Birds for all being mocs that make me cry with builder's envy.

2 points for pedro

1 point for brickzone

These are the two entries that most look like real sets we could have gotten. There are plenty of good points in the other entries, but they don't fit the intent of the contest as well.

Great job everyone and thanks for participating! :thumbup:
