DCI Gene Hunt Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Hi all, I 'm new to the site, my son and I just recently purchased the new Kingdoms Castle, and I took some photos of it. I also purchased the 2 Kingdoms battle packs, all from the Lego store, here in Ohio, USA. I hope I am doing all this correctly, if not please let me know. This is a great forum. I will also post some of my MOC Castle based on the first yellow Castle a little later. Thanks Tracey Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Thanks for the photos 'DCI Gene Hunt' - looks beauitful in and around all that greenery ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
posades Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 I agree with tiger, looks great out in nature, almost like it belongs. One question about the battle packs...did you notice any difference in quality from those figs as opposed to the figs in the actual King's Castle set? Quote
DCI Gene Hunt Posted May 25, 2010 Author Posted May 25, 2010 To tell you the truth I did not really compare them, I'll look at them tonight, and let you know. Thanks Tracey Quote
NorthernKnight Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Nice pics Can you please post some pics of the battlepacks, particularly of the green one please? I think We've only seen peliminary pictures of them before. Quote
josykay Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 (edited) How much were the battle packs? I got sealed Battle Packs for 12.95 € at a German Mail Order. I like especially the green one. Here we´ve got a printed breastplate (in regular sets it is only available in the big bastle), two bucket helmets and a lance for a knight (Are there dark green/black saddles for a knight in a Lego set?). The red one does not contain a new bucket Helm, no breastplate, but it contains that huge Dragon-Master halberd, which does not really fit to the rest of the knights weapons. But the red one contains one more shield. Edited May 25, 2010 by josykay Quote
DCI Gene Hunt Posted May 25, 2010 Author Posted May 25, 2010 The battle packs were $14.95 each at the Lego Store for 5 figures. I'll get some more photos soon. Thanks Tracey Quote

WesternOutlaw Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Very nice images DCI. Thanks for sharing (and welcome). This is the only set of the Kingdoms collection that I haven't purchased. I look forward to doing so after seeing your images. Is that the baseplate from 6071 Forestmen's Crossing pictured by your castle? Sharp! I would be happy in owning just one of those fabulous Forestmen sets. In any case, the castle looks fantastic in an outdoor setting. Quote
DCI Gene Hunt Posted May 26, 2010 Author Posted May 26, 2010 Yes the baseplate is from the Forestman, anyways here are the pictures of the Battle Packs. I think I got them back in correctly, I had opened them and put them on the Castle eariler. Once again I bought these at the Lego Store in Ohio. They had about 5 of each. I can't tell a big difference in quality, but the weapons do not seam to stay in the hands as well as the Castle figs. Thanks Tracey Quote
josykay Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 (edited) Where did you get them? Maybe they ship to Belgium too as I haven't found one who does (by price). Ist is called "Engel-Versand". But they do not ship to other countries. Edited May 26, 2010 by josykay Quote
Bram Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Ist is called "Engel-Versand". But they do not ship to other countries. Too bad. The ones on bricklink are too expensive in my oppinion. Thanks for the reply anyway. Quote
metalandi Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 There's another site that ahs the battle payks. They also only ship to 4 countries, though: http://www.spielwaren-kontor24.de/Lego/LEGO-Kingdoms Quote
