Gunman Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Hello there guys, today i received a vestas windmill which had seals broken.. (thought it was sealed) and i wanted to make some questions for the guys that may know the parts that were out of sealed bags were the three green bases the green base plate ofc and two technic beams (were those parts also out of sealed bags to you too? the technic beams also?) also after a quick lookout at the bags i saw in a sealed bag two technic beams 6x0.5 which according to instructions arent used at all ?! (strange, did this happen to you also?) the bags seem to be factory sealed but i hope its not a fake "home made" set. what u think? any way to check something else? waiting for your help Quote
Mercenary Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Well........ hard to say...... It wouldn't surprise me if those Technic beams were put in on accident. I doubt its a homemade set. Quote
Helmantel Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 I just received and built mine, which was in "Mint in no longer sealed box and bags since we started building but never finished it" condition. There were some left over parts (mostly the typical 1x1 round plates and similar small stuff and, a bit suprisingly, a 2x6 plate), but no technic beams. Quote

According to Bricklink and Peeron there's 4 of those green BURP rock pieces not three. Quote
Vestabuyer Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Greetings! I bought one MISB and if I remember correctly there is supposed to be 4 green BURPS. I believe the base and the instructions were the only thing that wasn't sealed. I know the motor and all of the connectors were in individual packages and a lot of the bigger plate parts were in bags. I had some pictures that I took of the sealed bags before I built it but I think they have fallen victim to my last disk sweep. As far as a homemade set, I don't believe so....as it is very possible you could have fell victim to bad distribution. I know I had that problem with my recent purchase of Green Grocer, one of the clear window pieces was missing! But then again, a green BURP is hard to forget! All aside, it is good to know another fellow vestas buyer! Quote
roamingstop Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 I would also be a vesta's buyer - but ebay prices tend to be a bit high... the chinese imports are a bit difficult to believe... Quote
