Perterz Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Good day all, While the SUV doesn't progress as planned, the love for Hot Rods continues.. This one came up during past week. It has a functional steeringwheel and is produced in my favorite color, Tan! The Dark Tan Technic wheels are a bit to wide for Model Team tires but they do their job just fine. The flatbed is tiled with custom wood pattern tiles I've picked up almost a year ago and are put into decent use on this MOC. I'm very happy with the result, its my 3rd completed car I've build so far and feels to be my best yet. In the future I forsee some more chrome for this car and a finished interior. It actually is missing a finished dash but I'm not sure on how to make it yet. Hope you like it as much as I do! More on Flickr Thanks for reading ;) Kevin Quote
prateek Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Wow! The grandfather of hotrod MOCs! This is amazing, and the tiled wood planks are cool Quote
DLuders Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Ah, I can smell the rich Corinthian Leather seats from here.... I like the wood tiles. It looks right at home in the forest! Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 (edited) Looks great! I like hot rods, especially ones with a bit of rat rod influence. Interesting method you've used for the door hinges, and I like the wood planks in the bed! The engine looks like an SBC (small block Chevy) with siamese exhaust headers. Jurgen Krooshoop Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Indeed very good-looking. And the colour is nice too. Quote
BobaFett2 Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 I like it, thought I would classify it as Creator because it's about the same size and shape as the creator cars and you probably could take it apart to make something new with most of the parts. Quote
Perterz Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 The engine looks like an SBC (small block Chevy) with siamese exhaust headers. Well not intentionally but it has it looks :) I kinda like realistic fantasy. Glad you guys like it, I'll probably make more as I absolutely love these rods! I'd love to build one to drive with occasionally but it's far from street legal I expect :s Thanks for your inputs! Kevin Quote
