optimus-convoy Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Design inspired by this one minicon, Steel Wind. Only with a new name, and faction. Quote
prateek Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 (edited) That's really cool. Both modes is great, but it is a lot bigger than a minicon Edited May 31, 2010 by prateek Quote
Rayskull Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Very awesome, The trouble that you went through with the legs is amazing. Quote
Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 (edited) Awwwwwwesome! Two of my loves, Transformers and LEGO, united! You did a great job here, Convoy! Oh, judging from your "instruction booklet", it actually transforms! It isn't two separate MOCs? That's amazing! Edited June 2, 2010 by Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor Quote
SNobleJr Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Most impressive. Looking at the picture showcasing both modes, I couldn't figure out how exactly it transforms, especially the way the wings collapse into the legs - and that's a very good sign, means the design is complex and well thought-out, the transformation is not just a slapped-on afterthought gimmick; it's integral. On top of this, you've even managed to cram in full articulation, and all this within the limitations of building with Lego. Frankly, if this was an official set - or realized as an official Transformer (and not as a crappy Minicon) -, I'd buy it without a second thought. Great work! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Great MOC optimus-convoy! LEGO Transformers are hard to build becuase of the transformation challenge to it, and you managed to pull it out. Great job. Quote
LegoDad42 Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 (edited) Great looking fighter...and it transforms too!!! Love it! Color scheme and design look excellent. Someone mentioned if it was an official set, they'd buy it...put me down for one. LEGO should look into this more for the general market. They do a mecha on the Atlantis line that turns into a vehicle, but this slick style of design is what's needed out there to jazz things up. Edited June 24, 2010 by LegoDad42 Quote
Blackicep8ntball Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Not sure how you guys accomplish these transforming MOCs... I'm very impressed. That really ratchets up the skill level to accomplish such things. Quote
Legostein Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Hello! The techniques you used to turn one model into a completely different one by only moving hinges are remarkable. Only a precisely fitting construction will do the trick, and it works out smoothly here. Very impressive. Cheers, ~ Chris Quote
