WesternOutlaw Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Using two of the new LEGO Minifigures, I wanted to create some sort of woodland hideout for the Forestmen. The result is this ruined forest fort: Revised Image I had trouble photographing, so the actual MOC looks better than this photo-edited image (at least I think). Quote
Tacitus Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Hey, Brickster. It looks good, but the background is a little distracting. Can we see it on it's own? Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 It looks great. The background is extremely cool. Quote
AwesomeStar Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 It looks great, as does the background, but I think maybe a smaller baseplate would make the whole thing look more compact and complete, if you understand what I am saying? But overall, a very nice MOC to showcase the new minifigs, and there's some nice photo editing too! ~A.S. Quote
Dan the Brickman Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I would not want to live in anything YOU build... ...lol, just kidding. I love all the robinhood related stuff. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 That's a totally awesome Forestmen MOC, TheBrickster! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic and stunning and very classic in design! And the backgrounds fits perfectly (esp. with that deer in the light). The only suggestion I have is to set it not up on a 32x32 (?) baseplate but on a 16x32 baseplate. Otherwise it's perfect! Very, very well done! Btw: Is there some interior in the small hut? Klaus-Dieter Quote
Captain Becker Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Its PERFECT! I love all the desing and yes, maby a bit smaller baseplate would fit better, otherly Unbelivible job, i want to move there right now and live there forever And i have only one question: Where did you get that background????? Please tell i want it sooo badly Captain Becker Quote
LuxorV Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Nice little creation and photocomposition, TheBrickster! The burned out shelter is pretty well built and I appreciate the Bull shild posed as a trophy or squad insigna. Quote
beans Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 This makes me wish I had gotten more than one Forestmen...Great job! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted June 5, 2010 Author Posted June 5, 2010 Thanks for the feedback guys. Here's some additional images without a photo-edited background. The entire MOC: The small forest hideout is in ruins with one remaining door and roof timbers ready to fall: The inside does have a small interior: A view from the top: A little dim, but another picture of the front: And back: I may build a Forest Fortress/Castle next. EDIT: and here's a modified background in original LEGO fashion: Quote
Captain Becker Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I may build a Forest Fortress/Castle next. i almoust cant wait to see that one ready, but id still like to know where i could get that Background in the first post? sry at im asking that but its so beatiful Captain becker Quote
Sir Dillon Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Nice little hideout! Interesting rubble effect you have here. Any particular reason why you chose the Bull shield for them to practice on? Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted June 6, 2010 Author Posted June 6, 2010 but id still like to know where i could get that Background in the first post? It's an image I modified from the web. Any particular reason why you chose the Bull shield for them to practice on? Thanks SD. Good question. The Bull soldiers are the enemies of the Forestmen and burned down the small fort. The shield serves as the reminder making a perfect item for target practice. In addition, I thought I might use the Bull soldiers in a future MOC. Quote
WhiteFang Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Nice ruins! I really like how you placed all of these together to form such good ruins creations, where the Forestmen are actually hiding there in this abandoned village. It sure looks fun to play with. Quote
