DoubleT Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 I am really looking foward to this movie, the trailer looks good, the cast is good, and the story is about the greatest general of all time. So its hard to do this one wrong.. Oh and its Oliver Stone directing. Have no doubt, im going to see this one.. And that this movie dont let me down. King Arthur was good, (but I had hoped it was better), and Troy was a good movie, but Brad Pitt Should not be in it, he dont fits in, and for me it was Eric Bana who did great work in Troy. So all Alexander is the third period movie this year, let us hope Its great and epic *satis* Cast: Collin Farrell, Anothy Hopkins, Angelina Jolie, Val Kilmer Trailer: Click Here
Jipay Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 I'm also waiting for this one. I'm happy they finally release some cool historical movie. It's time to make kids anderstand that history can be god damn cool.
Ras 74 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Have anyone seen it jet? I will go see it today... I
ApophisV Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Is it already out?!? The trailer for sure is a piece of excellent work... Let's hope its the same with the movie itself... Even if people say other things, I just disliked King Arthur... It's trailer looked fantastic, but the movie itself was megablock.... I really hope the Alexander crew hasn't made the same mistake, i.e. concentrating on optical things, mass scenes and special effects instead of the story....
DoubleT Posted November 29, 2004 Author Posted November 29, 2004 People say it has too much story, and to little action.....
ApophisV Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 People say it has too much story, and to little action..... Alexander?
DoubleT Posted November 29, 2004 Author Posted November 29, 2004 Yes, it uses alot of time on the person Alexander....
David85 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 I want to see this but after the flob that King Aurther was I don't know anymore. I have a feeling this movie will not be big in America. Troy flopped and I heard it was good, and King Auther was a terrible movie and flopped with good reason. I heard the reason why King Auther was complete megablock was because they edited it down to make a PG-13 movie here, instead of rated R.
DoubleT Posted November 29, 2004 Author Posted November 29, 2004 well King Arthur did really well in Europe...... And so did Troy And i just read that Alexander made 22 milion this week end, This is one of the movies who will do well on dvd...
Vader Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 I took my girlfriend to see both troy and king arther, i didnt like either but i did like locations and the details in the costums.
David85 Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 It did bad in the USA... Top Box Office (11/28/04) 1. National Treasure 2. The Incredibles 3. Christmas with the Kranks 4. The Polar Express 5. The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 6. Alexander 7. Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason 8. Finding Neverland 9. Ray 10. After the Sunset
Vader Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 wow that is bad for a movie with so much hype.
ApophisV Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Damn, this sounds exactly like I had expected it... :'( BUT I will see it anyways....
Ras 74 Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 I think if you have planed to see it, do so... No matter, I think you should only go on your own feelings and make your own thoughts of a film. So enjoy...
ApophisV Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 For sure I'll do.... ;) I don't mind paying 4 - 7 Euro for seing a movie in the theater, especially this "big" movies' effects are even more impressive on the big screen with excellent sound than when I just see it on my small TV on DVD in a half year... ;)
Ras 74 Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 4-7 EURO!! SORRY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!! I payed like 11 Euros... It
ApophisV Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 :o :o :o :o :o I'm so sorry for you, dude..... :( Here in Germany we have to pay something like 4 or 5 euros at special cinema / students days (mostly from monday to wednesday)... Normal price is in most cases 7 Euro as basic price, if it is longer than 2 hours we have to pay 0,50 - 1 Euro more and if we wanna sit in the back of the threater we have also to pay 0,50 - 1 Euro more... This prices may vary in some range, depending which cinema you visit (I got 5 different ones net to me) The highest cinema price for one person I've ever payed was 9,50
Jipay Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Ok ready for suicide ? I pay 15 euros per month and I got a card that allows me to see ALL the movies that I want to, as much as I want ! In all the theater of my town :)
Ras 74 Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Ok! That is how it should be then! All over the world. Exept maybe for how it is in India. There a ticket costs like 1 $... But it is way expensive to go there just to catch a cheep film i guess...
David85 Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Ok ready for suicide ?I pay 15 euros per month and I got a card that allows me to see ALL the movies that I want to, as much as I want ! In all the theater of my town :) Adds this to list of reasons why I hate you. :D
David85 Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 These people are freaks..... "Fortunately it was not what we had feared. The people can go and see the movie." I'm glad I'm allowed to see the movie, it's so nice that the bigot lawyers from Greece say I can. :| http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...reece_alexander
