Posted June 7, 201014 yr Well, I built this for a contest over on MOCpages, but rest assured, it far exceeds the level of most MOCs on that site. I am aware that the STAP should be all brown, but the piece I used for the front of the engines is only available (as far as I know ) in gray. I decided, since it was the perfect shape, to use it and then make the 'wings' gray also. Overall, I like the effect, which offsets the use of gray pieces in the body. Besides, according to the Episode 1 Vehicles book, the Trade Federation used cheap paints and sealants on their vehicles, which is why many of the vehicles in Episode 1 were already 'battle damaged' and scorched. We can say the same for this model. Finished in May 2010, see more on MOCpages. C&C welcome.
June 7, 201014 yr Dam, that's totally AWESOME ! The detail on this MOC is just over the top AWESOME ! I too ! You are a great MOC'er 'Brickdoctor' - so I'm a conformist! always !
June 8, 201014 yr Great MOC Brickdoctor! If it was all brown alot of the details would vanisgh into the model. I like that it is not all brown. And battledamaged, it works as well. The droid it self is very well done as well. Good luck in the competition!
June 8, 201014 yr That looks great! I love the UCS BattleDroid Edited June 8, 201014 yr by BrickClick
June 8, 201014 yr That's a very nice MOC, Brickdoctor! If you plan on modifying anything, I would suggest trying to add fingers on the droid though.
June 9, 201014 yr Author If you plan on modifying anything, I would suggest trying to add fingers on the droid though. Sorry, don't see that happening at that scale. If it was all brown alot of the details would vanisgh into the model.I like that it is not all brown. And battledamaged, it works as well. Like I said, I like the effect and it accents the MOC well.
June 10, 201014 yr I love how you did the battle droid and STAP on that scale, nice work brickdoctor! Your MOC is one of the most original I have seen lately since I rarely see MOCs of that scale.
June 10, 201014 yr Author Your MOC is one of the most original I have seen lately since I rarely see MOCs of that scale. Probably the main reason behind this MOC. I'm addicted to small vehicles (AT-RTs, 74-Zs, BARCs, and the like), but I wanted an original twist for the competition I was in. (suffice it to say that I would have been annihilated by the opposition had I chosen to build a minifig-scale STAP.
June 12, 201014 yr i think the stap and the battle droid are great  Edited June 12, 201014 yr by lt.Gonville brickhead
June 12, 201014 yr This is brilliant! The brick-built droid looks very cool (I love the use of a droid torso for the neck!), and the STAP is nice and sleek! Did you ever think of also making a tactical droid? The body looks like it would work quite well. By the way, what does all of the Aurebesh on the pictures say? I don't want to look it all up.
