Cwetqo Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 And no one believed me on week ago (about egypt), hehe... I'm just wondering:are egyptian sets 1H or 2H? Because if it' 1H, then we could see another "quest" sub-theme already in 2H2011 (similar explorers, but set in another surrounding) Quote

Mesonak Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 (edited) Oh wow, seems like all my System-dreams are coming true; Egypt-based sets, more Atlantis, Classic Space :D I don't pick up many system sets but I might have to; All the glorious tan pieces! And Space too... 2011's a great year for Lego, I can already tell. While I doubt many of you in this topic are fans of Lego Hero Factory, the successor to BIONICLE, I would like to know (directed towards nausicaakro) if you saw any pictures of sets by that name? -Mesonak Edited September 17, 2010 by Mesonak Quote

LEGOMAN132 Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 (edited) With "Indian" most people associate Native Americans, don't you think? Plus I think that Aztecs, Mayas e. g. tribes would be mentioned seperately if these were released - not under the name "Indian(s)". Equally if Native Americans, Aztecs or Mayas - more than one new (or since a very long time not released) non-licensed historical theme in one year is absolutely excluded. These themes would compete - with the consumer having to decide whether to buy sets of this or that theme (since the most consumers can't efford all sets they' like to get) - not a very well advised marketing strategy. Klaus-Dieter Maybe Indians will be a India based theme? That would be cool but it is most likly a Native American theme but still cool. Edited September 17, 2010 by LEGOMAN132 Quote

nausicaakro Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 The pharaons quest is a very good line for me. Today i saw 2 little set 1) airplain fighting against 2 mummies with wings 2) bike and Johnny against 2 mummies with scarab Shield and new special sword (like Warhammer egyptian sword) I dont like the ninjago theme, BUT I saw one set with a BIG motorbike and a skeleton with a german helmet (from II's World War) Waaaaaaahhhhhh! nausi Quote
Fugazi Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 So it really is a Johnny comeback! Winged mummies is a strange choice of opponent, but I suppose kids will like. And the accessories sound interesting. Thanks for the update! (Oh and by the way, it would be best to repost this in the new thread dedicated to the Egypt theme, thanks!) Quote
Mrlegoninja Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Wow " nausicaakro", you have got everyone excited! I can't wait for more info on the theme! Quote
BrickWild Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 I'm sorry I posted in the wrong thread by mistake, but perhaps in 2012 there will be an official Titanic model as it would be the official 100th anniversary of Titanic's Sinking on April 15 1912! Quote
Commander Laquiet Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 zoo theme? A zoo theme would be fantastic! Think of the new animal moulds! Giraffes, panda bears, lions, hippopotamus... I know it's nice to make your own animals out of existing parts, but I would love a Lego giraffe! Quote
Fugazi Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 With all the fresh news of 2011 sets, I thought this would be a good time to recap. So far we know that these themes will appear or be carried on into 2011: Atlantis Pharaoh's Quest NinjaGo Pirates of the Caribbean (still waiting for dates/set details) Hero Factory Games Collectable Minifigures As well as the usual suspects: City/Trains, Star Wars, Creator, Technic, Duplo. So what about the rest of them? Are these going to disappear, or is it just a matter of time before we get some form of confirmation? Harry Potter World Racers Racers Power Miners Kingdoms Space Police Toy Story I suppose it's pretty safe to say that World Racers, Power Miners and Toy Story are over, but what about Space Police, Racers and Kingdoms? Has there been any information one way or the other? Will there be no space-based theme in 2011? Quote

Has there been any information one way or the other? Will there be no space-based theme in 2011? It would be an exception to the typical action theme to see World Racers disappear after one wave. I agree on Space Police, Power Miners, and Toy Story most likely being gone. Racers 'always' continues right? And I certainly expect another wave of Kingdoms sets. Quote

It is weird we haven't seen any Racer sets, very weird. However Kingdoms is a summer theme, Castle always comes out in summer so that is safe. Cars is rumoured to be going Creator style, and there is that Creator house we just saw. So clearly we don't have all the sets pictures yet, there would be more than one Creator set. Quote
Marckeyh Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 I hope they're continuing the tiny turbo racers, I love those sets! Quote

Racers is a big part of the current catalogue. As for Creator, 6 sets are planned for the first 2011 wave: 5766 log cabin € 29.99 5765 Low Loader with Helicopter € 19.99 5764 Robot € 14.99 5763 Buggy € 9.99 5761 Mini Excavator € 4.99 5762 Mini Plane € 4.99 Quote

Has there been any information one way or the other? Will there be no space-based theme in 2011? Here's my take on who stays and who goes. Harry Potter - uncertain but I lean at it's a oneof thing. May get new sets from the new movie. But it seems like LEGO isn't thinking it'll match it's demographic... World Racers - I think it's out. Can't really see any continuation of it. May get a second wave in may/june or august though. Racers - Stays. The tiny turbos seems popular even though the variation is limited... Power Miners - Only foru sets this year says it all. It's out. Kingdoms - Will most likely get at least one more wave in may/june or august. Space Police - Has had it's two years and will not get anything more. Will be replaced by the new spaceport subtheme of city. Toy Story - As it's doesn't seem to get a new wave this january I'm being doubtful. And finally a recap: Racers and Kingdoms gets new sets and the rest won't. Quote
squiz Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Has there been any news about next years modular house ? If not, when are we likely to hear some news on it? Not been around for too long so dont know when the info on the grand emporium came out. Quote
Mirandir Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 (edited) Has there been any news about next years modular house ? If not, when are we likely to hear some news on it? Not been around for too long so dont know when the info on the grand emporium came out. The first rumors about the set showed up at the end of october, pictures in mid january and the set was released in march. But as the Modular Houses are LEGO exclusives it's a bit unpredictable as it's easier for LEGO to keep the lid on. Sometimes rumors and/or pictures of those sets don't show up until just a few weeks before release. Edited September 24, 2010 by Mirandir Quote
