michaelozzie Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Hi all. I was having a look at various engines i could build on one of my train RC bases. Presently im in the process of moving to Belgium so i thought i mite make a train from that country. NMBS operated these engines on the Oostende line. They used 3 pantographs for various voltages aswell. My Lego collection will be boxed up now for its long sea voyage to my new home so this will be one of my last creations on here for a while. Quote
peterab Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 That a very nice looking loco. Do you have a picture of the prototype? I think you could enter this in the current Flickr train challenge if it's a new build. All the best with your move. Peter Quote
Melfice Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 A quick google and Wikipedia says that the NMBS does not even have a Class 1600. As in, it doesn't exist. You're probably confused with the Dutch NS 1600? From a quick glance, it appears this is the NMBS Class 16, so I can see where the confusion comes in. ;) Regardless, the engine looks pretty sharp. danim Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I think it is this class http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SNCB_Class_16 Class 16 operated by sncb for cross border operations Quote
TaltosVT Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Nice use of the RC base. That's a tough base to build around. -Elroy Quote

lightningtiger Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Very nice engine 'michaelozzie' and great colours/trim work - I like the side ladders - very clever use of CW droid arms. COOL design, I'm a conformist! 'michaelozzie' I'm a conformist! ! Quote
