Amazon Japan now includes a picture with the set, and this doesn't look promising!? default_wacko.gif

You had me very excited there.

With the set releasing in a few months, hopefully we do see some pics of it soon. I'm sure it will be a beauty!

The link to the Amazon page shows me the Shuttle Adventure instead of the Tower Bridge! :cry_sad:

First time I've heard of this Tower Bridge set was about a week ago, from a Lego store employee. They already have it on hand to build as a store display. No word as to when it'll be out for public display.

I suggest for those who lives near a Lego store to keep an eye open if you'd like to see this new set in person...

They've had this for almost a month, and still no one has any pictures of it?

I'm sure the ambassadors (who have probably had pictures this whole time but are unable to share them) are laughing...

This set sounds great I hope it is mini figure scale as the vehicles sound nice aswell. although 39,900yen is about 454usd I think it might be a little less as lego sets tend to costa bit more in japan.

If anyone has managed to find pics of it (as long as it is not marked 'confidential' or blurry), please attatch them here and let me know!

I actually wish people would stop bumping the thread without pictures... every time I see a new post my heart jumps.

Man... I'm sure it's not emotionally healthy to be this invested in a toy. I'm probably not even going to get it anyway.

Ha, ha...funny. You bumped the topic just to say "stop bumping". And I naturally have to reply saying that is pretty much what I told BrickWild in the first place ....

Yes... believe it or not, I did have to think several times about bumping the topic to say 'stop bumping'... but ha! Now I have outwitted you by replying to your next post without bumping the thread at all, and you still have the last bump. I win.

Now, let's hope the next time this topic get's bumped is when we get those highly wanted pics.

Exciting Description. If those measurements are correct then the bridge is over 1 meter high. If it is then that would be amazing. With 4287 pieces it will surely be over £450 possibly £500. The fact that there are vehicles complete this set.

EDIT: You linked to the wrong page

Thanks for your attention, Bruman. :classic: Now I posted the correct link.

With 4287 pieces it includes about two times that many bricks than the Grand Emporium and about thousand bricks less than the Taj Mahal. Consequently it should be 250-300 Euros.

And about the size: I bet it will be 102 cm long, 45 cm tall and 26 cm wide.

I must say that I'm really surprised that so many vehicles come with this set.

I'm really looking forward to see some pics of this set - although I very likely won't buy it.

I hope it comes in at the lower end of your estimate though I'm not holding my breath as sets seems to be more expensive in the UK this year than normal.

The size and the number of parts does make me think that if this isn't totally amazing I will be very shocked and disappointed!

Hey guys!

So I've been keeping my eyes on this thread because I've been dying to see a picture of this set. Though I have a slight more reason for it, since I'm a Lego store employee. I won't say where, but rest assured that many people in the company cannot wait for this set to come out. Also, I had a chance to search inside the company system, and all I could pull up with 100% accuracy is the U.S. price. It's $239.99, guaranteed. I'll keep you posted on what more I can find, set and store wise.

Keep building!

Wow! A taxi, a double decker bus, a green bike, and a yellow truck. I'm more excited for the vehicles than the actual bridge now

I think it may be coming out next year...

Sorry for interupting, but what do you base this on? Is it something you just think, or do you have anything to back it up with?

It's just a prediction. That's all.

OK, for the future, can you please avoid to post these sort of guesses that aren't based on any underlying discussion or analysis. It really just takes up bandwidth and doesn't add to the discussion.

This does sound amazing if it is minifigure scale! I hope I am not going to be priced out of buying though. There will have to be some rather exclusive parts for me to justify this cost so I hope there are lots of exclusive 'London' minifigures included. I hope the bike is not the same green as the one in public transport (lime green perhaps?) and I don't like yellow vehicles so hope the truck is a different colour (a white van would be more appropriate).

Brickipedia has the release October 1st, 2010.

Thx for the head's up on the price Lakota...$240.00 to $250.00 bucks sounds right. Should be a beautiful model.

With an expected October release, I'd wager this will be previewed on the weekend of August 5th-8th at Brickfair. Not a guarantee, but that timeline fits the bill for many of the other LDM releases.

Another great set that I will have to have. The Lego company seems to be getting scary good at seperating me from my money!

You and me, both! LOL

(and I'm pretty sure I heard my wife mumble something about 'divorce' when I mentioned this to her)
